Description of 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle

This is a very nice driver quality 1966 Chevelle Convertible. nbsp; That I am selling for a friend of mine. His health forces the sale. and the car has been in my possession for a few years now. He has a number of cars that I will be listing. all that have been stored in my building. This 66 chevelle he bought a number of years ago from florida. it was previously partially restored in florida. and I am not sure of to what extent. But he has driven it to many car shows. and cruise nights when he could. The body on this car is nice. appears to have orginal quarters. no seams under the tops of the quarters. and it still has factory pinch welds where the quarters come to the rear panel. and upper panel behind the rear window. The floors and trunk look orginal. but I can see where a patch was put in. Looks great. no weld marks or overlapping seams. nbsp; It does have the super sport hood. and lower rocker covers. The top has been replaced when the resto was done. it still looks new and does not leak. the top frame is rust free and detailed in satin black. The paint on the car is very nice. but driver quality. the paint is over 20years old. and still shines very nice. I see only 1 spot where the paint is starting to bubble. where the rear quarter on the pass side comes togeather with the rocker. No hole. bubbling is very slight. The engine is a very healthy 350 with an edelbrock intake and carb. The car has a very healthy responsive sound. Engine bay is very neat and detailed. Auto trans with 10 bolt rear. Interior is very nice. a older pattern. but looks very nice. no rips or stains in the seats or rugs. All in all. this is a 66 chevelle that you can fly in and drive home. and feel proud to take right to a car show. and not make excuses for. again. its a driver quality car that you can start having fun with right away. nbsp; The car goes down the highway at 70mph. with no issues at all. holds good oil pressure. and holds around 200 in engine temp.
