Description of 1992 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 |
92 single cab stepside. was my daily driver for a few months about a year and a half ago but has not been used much since. The truck needs some tlc for sure and work to be drivable again - the paint is in pretty rough shape and the truck has numerous dents and digs as you would expect at 23 years old the worst body damage is probably around the door handles as its been broken into a few times the bumper also has a dent. The interior is very dirty and many of the pieces are not installed but I do think I've got them all however I cant grantee it. New dash cap comes with it and looks pretty nice Ive just laid it on and took a few pics the new owner can install it quite easily. Please see pics they tell the tale much better than I can - there is quite a bit of stuff to be attended to. I had rebuilt the motor on this truck about 10 years ago and the transmission was done at the same time - it will start and run but at the moment is running rough and it looks like smoking a bit. a lot of that could be due to the gas being 8 months old but I don't have the time to mess with it. The transmission does leak a bit the motor is pretty dry except for a bit of seepage. When I was driving it I'd keep an eye on the trans fluid every week. I had installed a new pan gasket and that helped but after sitting it looks like its dripping again. The front end could use some work specifically the drivers side upper control arm bushings are shot. After sitting its not running great. again it's likely the old gas in it is not helping but I don't have time to look into it- it sputters and hesitates a bit when you give it any gas I noticed this just moving it from the driveway to the curb. starts up pretty good tho- A/C is not working. The stickers are out and it's not running well so I advise it be towed wherever its going. I'm starting the price low and selling it as non roadworthy and a fixer upper so please don't bid if that's not what you want. and if it is bid accordingly. Stuff that has been replaced somewhat recently. there are no receipts as I did the work myself:Sometime in 2013- Battery. Distributor. Wires. Plugs. Fuel Pump. Trans filter and gasket (leaking again)Needs work but this body style makes for an awesome sport/offroad truck and its getting harder to find. It was my intention to fix up this truck and keep it but I don't have the time and am moving to an apartment so wont be able to store it. I highly recommend you come out and take a look at the vehicle - it's an old truck and theirs a lot of things you cant really fit into an ad about it. Please feel free to ask any questions beforehand at the end of this auction the high bidder owns it. Good luck and happy bidding!*Also comes with a rebuild-able 350 core out of a 94 |
