Description of 1984 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 |
BE THE ENVY OF ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS AT THE SHOW, ONE OF A KIND!! -1984 Chevrolet K10 4x4 Pickup, mileage 57560. This truck has a 3” Body lift and is the perfect mud/show truck combo money can buy. The body of this truck has been completely restored. The frame has also been stripped and painted. The bed and frame were done with PPG “rhino-liner” The truck is RUST free and in impeccable condition. The truck before restoration was selected because it had a 98% rust free body (one cab corner had an issue, which was replaced) All body work was done by one of the largest shop here in South Florida and only premium PPG products were used in the process. The truck is outfitted with PPG Deltron (lifetime warranty) Base coat and Clear. The color on the truck is 1971 Dodge/Plymouth Go Green/Sassy Grass green with straight black PPG stripes painted on and buffed smooth. Although the engine was not a rebuild it has new seals and underwent compression test with everything coming out perfect. It has a automatic Turbo 350 Transmission that shifts as Chevy should. The truck has headers and exhaust that ends half way under the bed. The OEM equipment Rochester carb is on and it does run rich but gives it that rumble. This is an item that one may want to buy a Holly carb for, I just prefer the way it is now. This truck is fitted with all the makings for A/C (it took a very long time to find all the parts) it just needs to be checked and charged. It has power windows, green led ringed headlamps, gas tank conversion from the saddles to between the rails like K5 blazers. Interior is 70% reworked with a new dash cover, new moldings outlining the inside of the cab, new seat belts, and other interior items may be original but were all professionally interior painted Black. All of the original trim, bumper, and moldings were sand blasted and painted base/clear black to give it a more modern feel. Here is a list of some other highlights…. -New Fuel Tank, lines and Pickup, New Rancho Shocks (not the low grade), New window motor, New Front and Rear Glass, New Pitman Arm for correct steering angle, New steering box, New water pump, New belts, New Carpet, Side Steps, New Brakes/rotors/springs/pads, New door moldings, window moldings and rubber seals, New tie rod ends, steering arms and steering linkage…. And more -Wheels and tires.. This is the one thing I would possibly change. The original wheels on this truck were 15” wheels, when I got the truck it has newer 6 lug 17” Chevy wheels (the ones photo’d) I had them taken off and painted black as well but these wheel have been plasma cut to fit over the hubs using wheel spacers. I drive the truck with them all of the time; however I would entertain getting the original 15” wheels back and putting on 36” tires. The tires on the truck right now are 305/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar sidewalls. Rear tires had a good amount of thread left. The left front 5/32 and the right front 3/32. This is the one area of the truck that could use some sprucing. I want to be completely straight forward about this vehicle as I know 1) The amount of work put into it. 2) The amount of money put into it. 3) How rare the condition of this truck is. -Stereo…. It has a JVC head-unit, 2 flat panel powerbass 10” subwoofers in a low profile box (behind the seat), 2 Kenwood 6x9’s (in rear), front component alpine speakers built into self-made kick panels, 2 dash 3.5” speakers and one 5 channel amp for the highs and 1 2 channel amp for the subs (mounted under the seat). This truck is really my pride and joy which I wanted to keep for a very long time. But life happens and all of the sudden you have 4 kids, inc. an 8month old, and have a 6, 00 dental bill. So….. Everyone always says this.... my loss is your gain and it truly will be.
