Description of 1972 Chevrolet C-10

1972 Chevrolet C10 Pickup Truck 350 V8, Auto Transmission, ½ Ton

CURRENT RESTORATION I have records and receipts for all repairs and restoration including:

New Mufflers and Exhaust Battery Plugs and Wires Edelbrock Thunder 4 Barrel Carburetor Fuel Lines Gas Tank Points and Condenser Fuel Filter Radiator Hoses Air Cleaner Wheel Bearings Wheel Alignment Steering Wheel Bed Liner View Mirrors Set #1 (Not Installed) View Mirrors Set #2 (Not Installed) C10 Trim Emblems (Not Installed) Chevrolet did not originally equip this truck with side view mirrors. I purchased two sets of side mirrors but couldn’t decide which style to install. Both sets of mirrors will be included with the sale of the truck.

POWER STEERING CONVERSION KIT Chevrolet did not originally equip this truck with a power steering unit. However I purchased a 3rd Party Power Steering Conversion Kit for $530.00. The power steering kit was never installed but will be included with the sale of the truck.

RUST & DENTS The truck bed has a light amount of surface rust which can be viewed in the photo gallery. There is three notable area of rust on the truck which can be viewed in the photo gallery. The notable areas of rust are located on the driver side rocker panel and two separate areas located at the end of the truck bed.

The truck has only one notable dent in the rear driver side panel. The dent has been photographed and can be viewed in the photo gallery.

DOCUMENTATION Included with the truck are many original documentations including:

Original Factory Invoice Owner and Driver Manual Dealer Plate Imprint New Vehicle Warranty Papers Emission Control Manual Repair & Restoration Receipts

Please feel free to browse the documentation listed in the Photo Gallery. PROBLEMS 1. The gas tank has a small dent where the nozzle is goes. However the gas cap can still be secured tightly. The 2nd owner purchased the used gas tank and didn’t notice the dent in the nozzle opening until it was too late and had already installed it.

2. The coolant system works very well but I was told by my mechanic that the water pump might need to be replaced in the distant future. 3. One of the defroster vent covers on top of the dash needs to be replaced. The cost for a new one is around 25 dollars.

4. The passenger window handle is brand new but I cannot get it to stay fastened. I have since purchased another new window handle and it will be sold with the truck. I am sure someone with the correct tools can easily fasten it to the window shaft.

HISTORY Hello my name is Scott. I’m the 3rd owner of this 1972 Chevy Truck. Old Blue rolled off the production line 43 years ago and is still running great. The truck has only been driven 5000 miles during the last 5 years. The previous owner told me that the truck had 89, 50 original miles when I purchased the vehicle in 2010 but I have no way of proving this. I was told the truck spent many years stored away in a machine shed before it was recently restored to its current condition. I have extensive documentation and receipts with dates for the majority of the repairs and restorations. I spoke to the original owner of this truck just a few months ago and he said he used the truck has his primary transportation and drove it to and from work for many years. He eventually put the truck in storage in the early eighties. The trucks odometer currently reads 95, 48.

The truck was restored 5 years ago with a NEW Edelbrock Thunder 4 Barrel Carburetor, Fuel Lines, Fuel Filter, Points and Condenser, Wires, Plugs, Battery, Complete Exhaust System, Gas Tank, Alternator, Radiator, Air Cleaner, Wheel Bearings, Wheel Alignment, Steering Wheel, and Bed Liner. The Transmission is in very good condition and was recently diagnosed and serviced. The body is solid with very little rust. Both of the doors have been restored with newly equip window regulators allowing them to crank up and down with ease. I really love this truck and the only reason I am selling it is because I’m now disabled and unfortunately cannot operate it anymore. I really hope whoever buys this old Chevy will get as much enjoyment out of it as I had. The nice thing about this old gal is it will make a great truck for someone right now. On the other hand it could also be a great show truck with a little bit more restoration. PAYMENT The winner of this truck will need to pay a $500.00 dollar non refundable deposit via PayPal upon the end of the auction. The remainder of the amount due must be paid by Cash, Certified Check, or PayPal upon receiving the truck.

CONTACT I’m a very honest person as you can see from my eBay reputation. I’m available to answer all questions before and after the sale of this truck. Please feel free to write or call me if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks again for taking the time to look at my truck. Sincerely, Scott
