Description of 1963 Chevrolet Corvette

THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION, BID TO WIN THE HIGH BIDDER WILL OWN THIS BEAUTIFUL CORVETTE STINGRAY. THERE ARE OVER 120 DETAILED PICTURES IF YOU DO NOT SEE THEM SCROLL INSIDE OF THE TEXT BOX, THANKS!

You are bidding on an extremely nice running and driving 1963 Corvette Convertible. This beauty was one family owned and always garaged with a cover over it since new. It is originally from Texas so the frame and birdcage are super solid with no signs of rust or rot. All the panels appear to be original, car was repainted once from its original dark blue code 916A back in 2000 to the dark blue metallic you see and it has held up very well throughout the years. Real nice shine, no waves, no orange peel, minor wear and tear as expected for a 15 year old paint job such as touch ups, very small chips, minor fisheye on the doors, a few small spider cracks on hood and driver fender (pictured) but still a great 5-10 footer as you can tell by the pictures, and definitely does not need to be repainted to impress people at a show.

All the trim and stainless are original with the exception of the front bumpers which were replaced and look like new as you can tell from the pictures. The rear bumpers are original and are in good shape with minor wear. All the emblems, bezels, grille, etc all look good with minor wear but nothing major that takes away from the overall appeal of the car.

Engine is a NOM 327 mildly built with a 282 duration camshaft. 2:02 heads, some other goodies its pushing around 350 horse. Just had the Quadra-jet completely rebuilt and runs like a top, just bump the key and it fires right up. A complete new exhaust system was just installed including new manifolds with A/C bracket holes, new 2 1/2 aluminum exhaust with correct chrome Corvette exhaust tips, Turbo mufflers sounds very healthy like a muscle car should, all new bolts, gaskets, etc. Engine compartment is nicely detailed and ready for the shows. Car is equipped with rare factory power steering.

Transmission is the original matching numbers powerglide, extremely rare only about 2200 of them made. I was told it was rebuilt not to long ago and shifts like it should with no slipping, hesistations, etc. It has plenty of pep with the nice running 327.

Rear is the original and everything drives as it should no funny sounds, humming, or noises, has the factory 3:36 gears in it which makes it nice on the highways.

Suspension is nice and tight I just had the rear leaf and front bushings replaced, and new shocks installed. This Stingray rides and turns like it should. Tires and wheels are the original hub-cups with brand new tires. Car rides great and ready for some cruising.

Interior is all original and shows minor wear as expected but is still very nice as you can see. Just had the wiring redone and all the gauges work such as tach, amp, speedo, temp, oil. The only exception is the clock which is common. Lights, turn signals, wipers, headlights, and headlight doors all work as they should. Seats and dash are in excellent shape. Top was replaced 4 years ago and still looks good with minor wear and the back window fell out I have it just needs to be re-installed, never worried about it since the top is always down anyways. Radio works great so you can listen to some tunes while cruising with the top down.

Overall I would say this Corvette is a real nice driver ready to take cross country or to some local shows. These C2's are getting harder and harder to find especially this original, and solid. It is not a show car but would not take much to make it into one, it is a very nice driver and will definitely get you plenty of thumbs up wherever you go. Take a look at the 120 pictures and you be the judge but car looks just as good in person. Car is sold AS-IS with no warranties expressed or implied, inspections welcome as the car is as advertised but please schedule them before the auction end. Cleared payment due within 7 days of auction end. No 0 bidders unless you email me first I will cancel your bid.
