Description of 1950 Chevrolet Other

Selling my beautiful 1950 Chevrolet Fleetline Sedan. 10K since a complete frame off restoration. Very unique very different. Equipped with a 301 cubic inch (292-.30 over) GM truck Inline 6 cylinder motor and 5 Speed transmission. Lots of power with a great sound.

The engine features a Comp street cam Offenhauser 4-barrel intake Edelbrock 500cfm carb electronic ignition Cast iron headers (not Fenton) Offenhauser valve and side covers. A large cross-flow aluminum radiator with electric fans keep the engine cool. The T5 transmission really enhances the torque produced by the motor as well as delivering 20+ MPG on the highway. The Fleetline will move out quickly and cruise at 70+ mph all day without overheating

The paint is BC/CC in Robin's Egg Blue. (period correct GM color). It is a 9 out of 10 Finish. The body is super straight. Subtle custom features include : Frenched headlights frenched license plate pocket Early Ford trunk handle and 1949 Chevrolet grille to give it its own personality. New bumpers front and rear. All stainless is original and is in good condition with a minimal ding here and there. For a more nostalgic look GM factory fender skirts painted the same color as the car will go to the new owner.

The steering is Mustang II manual rack and pinion with tubular A-arms and front stabilizer bar. The rear differential is 10 bolt GM with 3:42 gears. Air shocks adjust the ride height. With the inherent torque of the motor and comp cam the Fleetline pulls great from take off to highway speeds. The front disc brakes will stop you in a hurry.

The custom made black velour interior is beautiful and in excellent condition. The door panels kick panels headliner and carpet are perfect. Very comfortable adjustable front bucket seats. The interior including the roof and doors are very well insulated. This is apparent when using the Vintage air heat and defrost unit. The A/C is ice cold the heat is hot and the defrost works great.. The real tinted glass windows help keep the inside cool in the hot Texas summers. The windshield is a new one-piece unit. All new door seals window rubber felts and fuzzies. The trunk is nicely carpeted with the spare tire well converted into a storage compartment. While cruising the highway turn on the Pioneer sound system and tune in your favorite station. If you prefer plug in your favorite CD. An outlet for your cell phone is located in the console.

The custom dash is now the home of the A/C vents as well as the gauges. All gauges lights turn signal horn and the 2-speed electric windshield wipers work properly. The steering is handled by a 15" (55-56 Chevy) aftermarket wheel attached to a 1953 Chevy column with the internal signal mechanism.

This is a unique stylish nostalgic dependable vehicle. It will take you and /or your family anywhere you wish to travel in comfort. This trophy winning Fleetline has always drawn lots of positive attention wherever I go. My favorite comment is: You don't see these anymore!
