El Camino Conquista project car ready for a new home. Already have too many projects so it's time to let this one go. I bought this El Camino in 2004 and drove it only occasionally for a few years. It's been garaged for the last nine years and off the road altogether for the last five. The odometer shows 317 miles. Obviously it's turned over at least once. I can't say if it's only once but I doubt very much that it's more than that. The title shows "exempt" for mileage. I put a good battery in it and it started right up. I drove it up and down the driveway and it seems to be in good working order.Engine: E.F.I. 4.3 six cylinder runs great. I replaced the injectors when I got the car.Transmission: 200-4R automatic overdrive. Works great but needs TCC solenoid (causes converter to lock up prematurely once warmed up - very common not an expensive fix).Brakes: New in front good in rear.Tires: Very good (includes a pair of snow tires).Interior: Seats door panels plastic trim are very good dash has a few cracks carpets are stained and faded headliner needs recovering. I pulled up the carpet and the floor looked solid but a little surface rusted. Added Z24 steering wheel.Exterior: Overall the body is solid with the exception of some minor areas that need rust repair. The frame is also solid. Bed has a rubber mat and there's a U-Haul tow hitch.Options:Power windows (motors run slow)Power locks (not working probably switches)Air conditioning (not working never troubleshot it)Cruise control (works!)Tilt wheelDelay wipersBucket seats/console/floor shiftFull gauges (all working) Given that this vehicle has been off the road for five years I can't guarantee that it's ready to drive home. You should be prepared to have the vehicle towed home. If you drive it away you are solely responsible for any problems that arise. I don't have the time or inclination to arrange shipping. This is a local pick-up sale only. PLEASE READ! Communication: Please note that I am NOT a business. I'm just a guy selling some unneeded stuff. I work for a living so I don't necessarily have the ability to instantly respond to emails. I will respond as soon as I can though. Please be patient.I attempt to describe my auctions as accurately as I can but I am only human. Please contact me and allow me to attempt to resolve any issues with you before you leave non-positive feedback or start a case. Shipping: I will try my best to ship your item in a timely manner but it could take up to a week for me to have a chance to get to the UPS store or post office. Most of the time I already have a box and stuffing so I only charge the shipping rate. If I have to buy a box and/or stuffing I'll add that to the shipping cost. It's only fair. Note that eBay's shipping calculator isn't perfect. It usually estimates slightly low due to UPS's fuel surcharge. I usually just eat that. You're welcome. Guarantee: I sell old used stuff or occasionally new-old-stock stuff. Unless specified otherwise there are no guarantees returns or refunds on the stuff I'm selling. Bid accordingly. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: Read the listing! Make sure you understand what you're bidding on. This includes shipping costs. Some heavy items are quite expensive to ship. If you are unsure about the shipping that eBay's calculator has come up with then ask about it or check the UPS or Post Office site. They both have online calculators available. Pay for your item! Since there always seems to be a problem with non-paying bidders I feel obliged to state the obvious: Your bid is a contractual obligation. Only bid if you are sure you are willing and able to follow through with the deal. Non-paying bidders will be promptly reported to eBay.
