Description of 1994 Chevrolet Camaro |
Before SLP built SS Camaros for Chevy in 1996 they produced the F1. This is the prototype to proof out the car to GM. After completion GM only gave the ok to sell the package through their parts department rather than sell complete cars from SLP/Magna. You could buy all or pieces of the package and install them yourself or have the dealer do it. This car has the complete package which includes a Torsen differential panhard bar 17x9 wheels 1LE front sway bar body kit computer flashing Hurst shifter and SLP exhaust. This is the only known F1 built by SLP and is numbered 0001. The air intake and exhaust on this car are one off pieces that did not make production. Glenn Weathers a supervisor at GM ordered this car for fleet. Bob Fehan of SLP/Magna asked for the car to build the F1 so they sold the car to him. Glenn followed the project. After Magna made their sales pitch to GM Bob agreed to sell him the car. He drove the car until 2001 clocking 54000 miles. He sold it at RM Auctions in 2001 to Christine Roth for $22050 with fees. The car stayed near Detroit and she only put 400 miles on the last 14 years. The stack of documentation is 1.5" thick and includes the agenda between GM and SLP all service records and auction paperwork. The previous owner spent $1600 getting the car out of storage. They put in a battery fuel pump fuel lines etc. The tires brakes and rotors only have 1000 miles or so. The A/C was serviced a couple months ago. It had had a recent PA inspection. There are 2 sets of F1 mats and 1 stock set. A car cover is also included. The stripes were just replaced with original replacements. The "Made In America" stampbled through in a few places though. The car is in very nice condition for the year. It appears only the front spoiler has been painted. The rest of the paint shows well. There is a small patch of lightly cracked paint on the rear bumper. Please have funds before bidding. If a cashiers check is used it will have to clear my bank before the car leaves. You are encouraged to come see the car. I will assist your shipper in getting the car picked up. Please contact me before bidding if you have no feedback. Thanks for looking! |
