Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

A decade ago a 1969 Z/28 Camaro like this pretty Fathom Green coupe might have sold for $35000. Today the nice ones are easily twice that much with top cars crossing the six-figure barrier. Enthusiasts caught on that going around corners is every bit as fun as going fast in a straight line and in turn these Z cars have been one of the best (and most fun) classic investments you can make To answer your first question this is a matching-numbers car and that's why you need to move quickly because at this price it just won't last. The rest of the components are authentic and original to this car and with just 61806 original miles it's a better place to park some money than any banker's investment fund. The code 57 Fathom Green paint is probably 20 years old but still looks great wearing the traditional racing stripes for which these cars are justifiably famous. Bodywork is quite good with even gaps and panels that have been reworked to probably better-than-new condition and despite being a party on wheels the paint has been beautifully maintained and still looks quite nice. All the Z/28 badges are there and the cowl-induction hood is fully functional not an add-on aftermarket piece. The bumpers and gill inserts on the quarters are brilliantly chromed while the grille is excellent. They simply just don't get much nicer.Matching green buckets give the green bodywork a softer edge that suits the Z/28 just fine. We strongly suspect that the interior is mostly original and it's just beautifully preserved. The carpets have to be more recent than 1969 because they're just too nice but the rest looks just awesome. A center console gauges is always a desirable option and that Hurst shift lever (the original is included with the car) controls the original Muncie 4-speed underneath. The woodgrained steering wheel matches the appliques on the dash and console better than most while a correct AC speedometer and 6000-RPM tach remain front and center and an AM/FM radio is fitted in the factory location. In back the beautifully finished trunk has been equipped with a new mat full-sized spare and a correct jack assembly. The Z/28's calling card is of course the specially-built 302 cubic inch small block which loves to rev yet delivers plenty of low-end torque. One of Chevy's more potent machines it was grossly underrated at 290 horsepower which was apparently a number GM marketers pulled out of thin air. Chevy Orange paint correct finned valve covers and the ram air induction system are all beautifully finished and all the details are correct: check out the correct hoses and clamps and beautifully restored exhaust manifolds not to mention the functional cowl induction setup. This original matching-numbers DZ block wears a correct intake 4-barrel carburetor and distributor and that's the numbers-matching Muncie 4-speed behind it. Out back the heavy-duty 12-bolt is full of 4.10 gears on a limited-slip so it hooks up fast and charges hard. Never needing a full restoration the floors are rust-free and solid much of the hardware is recent including the exhaust system and gas tank. Four Rally wheels wear proper E70-15 Goodyear Wide Tread GT bias-ply tires that give it just the right period look.Don't miss this opportunity to own a genuine Z/28 with matching numbers and low original mileage. At this price you can't go wrong and it'll seem like a bargain in just a few years. Call today!
