1951 Chevrolet Belair Fleetline Deluxe Fastback***RELISTED DUE TO NON-PAYING BIDDER!***by Gas Monkey Garage with . ! A redesigned Fleetline with reduced body contour and integrated rear fenders was offered for the 1949 through 1952 model years. It was referred to as a "fastback" because of its distinct sloping roof which extended through to the trunk lid. The Fleetline during these 1949 to 1950 years also had a lower look than a sedan, ith the windshield being one inch shorter in height than a standard sedan. The Fleetline series is highly collectable today, ith its sleek looks and “chopped” stance that just begs to be customized. What we have here is a pretty solid original example that does have some rust present that was not described (or pictured) well when it was offered to me, o I’ve taken good pics to show the condition and the rust that is present. Now the rust isn’t terrible and it’s certainly repairable, ut any rust is more than I like to see any more (trust me, ’ve seen plenty of rust!). The body is fairly complete and solid with rust in the rear fenders and most trim present and in usable condition. The glass is mostly complete (missing the drivers ¼ vent window) with some cracks (see all pics). There are some replacement items included with a box marked windshield that I haven’t opened but most of the glass is flat and easily replaced. The interior is mostly usable needing seats recovered, nterior panels, arpeting etc… for a complete restoration. The drivers floor has been repaired with a panel that is functional but lacks aesthetics. The engine does run and the transmission and clutch seem to work properly moving around here in the parking lot, owever the brakes are no longer doing their part and I must add that while the engine does run, his car will need complete servicing prior to any attempt at driving for the first time to ensure safety and reliability(due to our filming schedule, e are unable to perform any additional work on this vehicle, OLD AS IS/ WHERE IS) and it will have to be transported on a flatbed or a trailer.Suitable for Advertising and Promotional use, useum quality restoration or as an everyday driver project, his car is offered just as we found it and will need complete servicing prior to attempting to start it for the first time after all these years. This rare 1951 Chevrolet Fleetine Deluxe is located in Dallas Texas and the winning bidder may have the option of taking delivery here at the shop or we'll help with shipping logistics.
