1967 Camaro RS 383 5-Speed with SS Upgrades Resto-mod. This lovely Marina Blue Camaro has undergone a full rotisserie restoration. The car lived it’s life in the dry desert near and around the Los Angeles California area. It started life as a genuine Marina Blue RS with factory A/C. It was brought to Connecticut and was completely dismantled and media blasted. The car retains it’s rust free original quarter panels doors trunk and floor pans which are always the worst on these cars. There are invoices totaling near $50k in restoration costs not including the cost of the car a flight to California to view the car and then the shipping costs associated with a trip to the East coast. The car is currently located in the central South near Macon Georgia. I purchased the car from a high line dealer in Connecticut and have provided a climate controlled garage environment in my years of ownership. Since the restoration there are only about 500 break-in miles on the car. I have a number of other collector cars so they don’t get many miles per year. Mechanicals: The engine is a 1970 350 4-bolt main block that has been balanced and blueprinted (all invoices included) and stroked to 383 with World Performance heads. Power is estimated over 400 HP. The camshaft is street competition and this car shakes the earth through the full length Jet-Hot coated headers into 2 ½” dual exhaust with OEM style muffler set up. It has a Holley 750 carburetor. The engine is dressed to appear as an original 327. The transmission is a Tremec TKO 500 series with .63:1 overdrive and will cruise all day long at 80 mph around 2800 RPM. Effortless long distance cruising. The clutch is light to the feel and grips excellent with ease of operation even if you have weak knees like me. It’s a joy to shift in this car. The rear axle is a 10 bolt posi that has been completely rebuilt including a brand new posi unit installed. The driveshaft is new. Body: A Camaro body doesn’t get much better. The paint is base/clear and there are no dents dings or scratches. The only blemishes are a couple of extremely small bumps on the driver’s side roof from a painting defect. The windshield is new as is the rear glass. All glass is tinted. The SS hood has been added for owner preference. The RS hide-a-way head light system doors and grill are all brand new including the electric motors relays and wiring harness. The rear tail lights are brand new. The Bumpers are NOS replacements and are perfect. The window track fuzzies and window regulators are new. Suspension: The car has had all the SS suspension upgrades including the multi-leaf rear springs HD coil springs HD front and rear sway bars. The braking system has been upgraded to disk front brakes with power booster. The car handles and stops excellent. Interior: This gorgeous RS Camaro has a deluxe interior package with all new door panels seat upholstery with new foams head liner and sun visors deluxe console and gauge package wood tilt steering wheel and column new dash pad carpets and black mats and lastly new GM seat belts and retractor mechanisms. I just replaced the speedometer and tachometer with new OEM parts. The originals were worn out and faded. Underbody: The underbody chassis and under the doors is rust free and looks as good as the top side of the car. The gas tank is brand new. All of the steel brake lines and hoses are new as well as the steel gas line. Driving Experience. This car is fun to drive. It steers easy with it’s power steering and braking is easy with the power braking. The car is tight as a drum. No squeaks or rattles. It handles excellent for the kind of car that it is. I’m a sports car enthusiast and prefer the car with a small block for the handling characteristics. It will certainly put a smile on your face. Where ever you go it will attract attention and compliments. Terms and conditions: I am available any time for questions via Ebay email or by phone 478 957 9778. This is a great example but it is a used car and you will find things to improve on just as I have in my ownership.
