Description of 1964 Chevrolet Corvette

Going to be brutally honest about the condition of the car It was a complete mess when I got it !I believe in total I have personally put about 2000 miles since I got it….It is a complete head turner & I get complimentsevery time I take her out...1964 Corvette convertible 350 ( not original ) engine. 4 speed ( not original ) Hurst shifter with Thandle to look stock.( Note I think the reverse shifter bushing needs replacement on the linkage sometimes when cold it gets stuck between gears and a few shifts will un stick you ) Rear end ( not original ) but have the original rear end minus input yolk & the frame bit it bolts into.New clutch Starter motor & HD clutch linkage.MSD & Petronix ignitionplug wires & plugs. ( I have the main chrome can that covers the ignition wiring but none of the side runners).Holley 650 single pump ( New in 2012 ) vac secondaryCorvette 327 aluminum intake new fuel pump & lines new sender in tank. Engine wiring harness new.and is set up for the ALT on the opposite side ( forfuture A/C ).This is an add on extension and can be removed.Starts VERY easy but it a little coldblooded. It HAD 1963 Gauges and that has all been changed to 1964 gauges.. the ODO on the 63gauge was broken so actual milage is a wild ass guess both the speedo tach & ODO now work the trip reset is not happy all dash bulbs replaced.Replaced the front cliphood front bumpers and all brackets front badges & hardware completeheadlights ( buckets motors wiring harness ) & top done in 2012.Paint was done on the front clip hood and blended into the door area the back half is still the " how I got it" paint. The work was done @ J&D Corvette in Bellflower CA in 2012.Along with the new soft top & it's weather stripping. The rear plastic window needs a slight buffing.Clock has been re done to a quartz movement.Harrison radiator ( used ) Core support( Zip repro) & metal shroud. New upper & lower hosesfan & fan clutch Water pump T stat & CORRECT temp sender. The dash pads… not so good.I have a dash mat to hide that.Windshield was replaced & rubber gasket in 2005.Carpets original.perfect for a daily driver with rubber floor mats.Fiero seats with leather coverings ( driver seat has a rip in bottom ) I have the stock seats in ratty but restorable condition.Sunvisiors not bad… but RED.Really REALLY awful Kenwood in dash AM/FM cassette " stereo " PPffttthhh. It has the 2 4" speakers in place of the 6X9.Body weather strip ( fordoor glass ) needs work.Side view mirror is a MAD new one and doesn't hold firmly in position.Turn signals all work correctly. All door interior workings ORIGINAL.( key doesn't work on Pass side ) it does drivers door & ignition no spare lock.FAKE ( but actual )knock off's I think they are western's rims new tires 2012 with under 500 miles. the spare is also a knock off style rim.The carrier was re worked to fit the full sized tire.Brakes master cylinder vac booster most hard lines (Only exception is the main line that runs from the front to the back of the car & I have that line ) & soft lines shoes drums slaves were ALL replaced.. car has atendency to pull so it still needs… something.E brake works well & the light works.Power steering ram leaks.Shocks were replaced when I got the car along with front bushings.. There is a KLUNK in the front end.. could be ball joint time.Rear spring is new BUT it lifted the back end up WAY HIGH so I had my bodyshop remove 2 leaves to make it sit right.. now it bottoms out abit to easy.. I have allthe leaves and another spring ( original ) .There are couplers for the exhaust to make the spring swap easy !Headers came with car & exhaust.. newer piping.. and I have some tip extensions.Bumpers were rechromed in 2012.Smallersteering wheel ( but have original plastic steering wheel ). All correct horn hardware. and yes the horn works. Not 100% sure if these are the OE horns.Thesquirter for the wipers was broken so I added an electric pump to thesquirter system.Wipers work. All new battery tray & hardware Neg disconnect on battery.Replaced heater core in 2010The hard top is really messed up and needs a full restoration ( head liner rear pexiglass weather stripping etc etc ) .( there isa lot more that was done more info on request ).HistoricalThis car came from Maine.. BUT was in a slight fender bender ( nose )and sat for ~ 20 years in garages on the east cost…and there is ONLY surface rust…. period no cancer! Since 2003 ( when I bought it ) it's been in sunny So Cal in the high desert !The 3 light tail lights is how I got the car.The car had side pipes at some time in it's life I have that rear skirt with no holes.Reverse lights work.I spent ALOT of time on the Corvette action center internet news group…. building this car… you can search for posts by Vigman to see more of it's history.I have spent WAY MORE then the asking price over time and I'm not hard up for the money so PLEASE no low ballers.Rough numbers13K + transport to get this in the driveway12K spent at J&D in 2012and I can assure you I havespent an additional 10K ( or more ) in Oh By the Ways...Shipping it totally up to the buyer and all costs for shipping are the buyers responsibility.I would PREFER a California purchase.I reserve the right to end the auction early if a local buyer comes through. You can INSPECT the car but no test drives till it's paid for.Payment 500.00 NON REFUNDABLE deposit due is 24 hrs of auction close Wire transfer for the balance from your bank to mine within 5 days I will not release the car UNTIL the funds have cleared AND the bank has verified that. This car is sold AS-IS WHERE IS. It's not PERFECT..YET.It's a 51 year old CLASSIC and needs attention.. so no whiners !I would STRONGLY SUGGESThaving thebraking system dealt with before doing any serious driving. Thanks for lookingMike
