Description of 1931 Chevrolet Other |
1931 CHEVROLET ROADSTER CLASSIC RUMBLE SEAT IDEAL "CRUISE & DRIVE" RESTORATION QUALITY RESTORATION OF THE CLASSIC 1931 CHEVROLET ROADSTER MODERNIZED JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE IT A TERRIFIC CRUISE VEHICLE WITH A HIGHLY ORIGINAL LOOK...AND THE ICONIC RUMBLE SEAT! RESTORATION HIGHLIGHTS...
BONUS...IF THE BUYER WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE ORIGINAL ENGINE TRANSMISSION AND REAR-END...THEY ARE INCLUDED! IMPORTANT IMAGE NOTES: To illustrate the very high quality and period-correctness of this classic 1931 Chevrolet Roadster there are well over 100 images. The first 19 images are intended to give a quick overall presentation of the car from a variety of vantage points. To see ALL the images...you MUST place your cursor on an image - allow plenty of time for all images to download - and then scroll slowly ALL the way to the bottom. CAUTION: if you use the scroller to the FAR RIGHT of your screen or the "Click to view image album" feature...you will NOT see all the images. OVERALL RESTORATION OBJECTIVES...were to have a highly original look but also a classic that could be confidently driven on modern roads and highways. These objectives were magnificently achieved. The car is a "peoples favorite" wherever it goes...the winner of numerous trophies. And it was driven with ease from Atlanta to Indianapolis...a trip that many would not complete as competently in cars 30 years or more newer!. OPERATIONAL REPORT...the car is a very strong performer that inspires confidence on modern roads. The modernizations are just enough to provide enjoyable driving but do not interfere with the original character of the car. The dash has a classic appearance with modern gauges - all operational (Note: oil pressure gauge calibration is such that there is little needle deflection with the 1952 Chevy engine's lubrication design). 2562 TRANSACTIONS WITH HAPPY PEOPLE! As of the date of this listing we've had 2562 transactions (both buying and selling) on eBay without a single complaint. One of the keys to our selling success is the use of LARGER and MORE images than you will likely see in ANY other eBay listing...so you can CLEARLY see what you are getting. QUESTIONS? Please call Jim Murphy at 706-429-7924 if you have any questions that this description or the pictures at right do not answer for you. INVESTMENT POTENTIAL...1931 Chevrolets restored to this quality modernization and originality of appearance are rare and coveted. BRIDGES THE "GENERATION GAP"...it's a funny thing. Kids today will see this car going down the street and immediately stop whatever they are doing to smile and wave. They may not know what year it was made...or even the make...but they DO know that it's VERY OLD and VERY COOL! PAYMENT DETAILS: Payment is due within 3 days of auction's end via Bank to Bank Wire Transfer. Vehicle will be released to the new owner immediately upon full clearance of payment to seller's Bank. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS are welcome but MUST adhere to the Payment Details above and also make all arrangements for pick-up and importation of the vehicle into the Buyer's country. We will store the car free of charge for a reasonable period of time while transportation is arranged for the car. ABOUT ME: I am an avid car enthusiast. After retiring from 30 years of sales and marketing in a Global 100 company I formed Murphy Endeavors LLC and began buying and selling classic cars as a collector and for friends and clients. This beautiful 1931 Chevrolet belongs to a fellow Classic Car enthusiast. Please note that I have had 2562 eBay transactions with 100% Positive Feedback and have sold classic cars to happy eBay customers in Brazil Sweden Switzerland France Germany Australia Russia Canada Japan and throughout the United States. IMPORTANT FINAL REMARKS & CONDITIONS OF SALE...the Buyer will receive a Notarized Bill of Sale and the Georgia-issued (clear) Registration Document...which is proof of ownership for ALL pre-1962 vehicles in the State of Georgia. Georgia did not begin issuing auto titles until 1962 and does not issue them for ANY pre-1962 cars. Though significant dollar investments have been made to make this 1931 Roadster a reliable and satisfying road performer...it remains an 84-year old vehicle with much 84-year old design and technology. The painstaking restoration has made this one of the best examples one will likely ever find...but continued maintenance will be needed in the future and is a part of classic car ownership. As owners of 1930s cars well know...even the best restored classics will need repairs from time to time and often without notice. Therefore this sale is strictly on an as-is and final basis with no warranties or liabilities expressed or implied. Every effort has been made to present this car completely and accurately to the best of our knowledge and resources but errors and oversights are possible. Therefore pre-purchase examination of the car (if desired) is welcomed before the listing's end and can be easily arranged by appointment. QUESTIONS? Please call Jim Murphy at 706-429-7924 if you have any questions that this description or the pictures at right do not answer for you. PLEASE BE SURE TO REVIEW ALL THE IMAGES AT RIGHT...as they supplement the description with important information. The car is undeniably beautiful and impresses everyone...but it has been enjoyed and driven and there are various cosmetic imperfections owing to age and careful use. Though it is a successful show car...it is DRIVEN (not trailered) to events...and both the attendees and judges admire driven cars! Payment I accept the following forms of payment:
