RARE 1949 CHEVROLET CONVERTIBLE This is a project started by a friend years ago. He passed away and and now. after much consideration. its time to let someone have the opportunity to complete this great car. This 1949 Chevrolet was at one time completely dis-assembled. The frame. suspension and body have been refinished to an extremely high standard. Everywhere you look appears new or near new. The body is in primer and the door jams and firewall have been painted light grey. The hood. fenders. inner fenders. core support are refinished and included with the car. There is a convertible top frame. but it will need to be restored. It also appears that most or all of the chrome/stainless trim is here. The gauge cluster is here and I believe all or most of the dash pieces are here. There is no motor. transmission. steering wheel/column. trim/door panels. glass. or seats. Even with these missing parts. this is a rare and highly restorable car. or a great platform for a custom. This is a project car and whoever buys it will have the opportunity to create his/her version of what a 1949 Chevrolet should be. This is a rare opportunity to start a project with a body and frame that has no rust and requires little work. The savings in body work and rust repair alone will probably more than make up the cost of buying the missing pieces.
