You are bidding on an exceptionally nice and original1965 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe with 41300 documented original miles This car retains the correct matching number optional 300HP engine. Factory options include a four speed transmission and an AM/FM Radio and unlike many Corvettes this one is a trim-tag-correct Red/Black car! New reproduction knock off wheels and new gold line tires have been added. Produced on July 2 1965 this Coupe was sold new at Lange and Runkle in Redlands California where it spent most of its like until about 12 years ago when it went to Arizona andthen Texas before I acquired in and brought it to Ohio this year.Needless to say the frame and all the areas of concern on most Vettesin areas outside of the salt beltof are ZERO concern on this vehicle. The frame is void of any rust through or repairs. The body fitment is incredible with ZERO evidence of any panel replacement anywhere on the body bonding strips in place etc. The doors shuthood headlightsall align as an original car should.

This car is a great example of an extremely original midyear Corvette which has never been fully apart or totally restored; more importantly nor has it needed to be!Hence the car drives like an original should remarkably! It's tight and runs and drives out exceptionally. Everything appears to work on the car including the Coupe-specific rear exhaust fans (electric) work on passenger side.

Several NCRS folks have given this car thorough once-overs and most agree that it appears to be 50% or likely more original paint and given that fact it'sin remarkable condition. A few areas have been blended but nearly impossible to notice in natural sunlight. There are some veryminor paint chips that have been touched up and a couplevery minorthin spots in the paint but it shows extremely well even with a few minor blemishes. Chrome and trim is all in excellent condition. Bumpers show minor acceptable wear but really nice for being 50 year old stuff.

The original interioris still in the car (carpet seats dash door panels) and it's allin amazing condition. The original spare is still under the rear of the car.

The engine compartment has beencorrectly detailed and all proper componentry is in place. The engine runs great/smooth etc. There is a small amount of smoke when the engine starts up or isn't warm but isn't anything to be worried about.
