1949 Chevrolet Deluxe 2 door coupe Very complete project car. Engine does run but it is not road worthy. I replace fuel pump coil plugs wires cap rotor new 6 volt battery and rebuilt carb. It will need brake work. Most likely wheel cylinders and master cylinder. I have not gotten that far. I removed the gas tank to replace or have it cleaned. Tank did not leak but was filled with old fuel and debris. Previous owner told me the engine was rebuilt and clutch was replaced 700 miles ago. I have no paper work to prove this. Exterior body panels are pretty solid. It does have some expected rust issues normal on a car from this area. Some of the rust areas areinner rockers a couple body mounts trunk tail panel and a few places in floors. Trunk floor is very solid. There are a few surface rust areas on the body also. I know rust is the biggest concern when buying a car of this age so I have tried to include pictures of the areas I have found. I would recommend inspecting it in person before bidding. The interior was redone a few years ago and is in good condition but need a good cleaning. There are no cracks in any of the glass but there is delamination and cloudy areas. There does not appear to be any stainless missing and most of it is in good driver condition. There is rust and pitting on the chrome. Tires were replace right before the car was parked but that was a couple years ago. I am sure there are some items I am missing so please email any questions before bidding. This is a great foundation for a rat rod custom or even restoration. Vehicle is available for inspection during auction.
