Description of 1978 Chevrolet C-10

1978 CHEVROLET C-20 Pickup

  • 350-V8 Runs great!
  • 4spd Manual tranny
  • 2wd
  • 3/4 ton (8 lug)
  • Long box
  • 89598 original miles

Originally bought as parts truck for my K-10 but this ended up being so solid I hated to rip it apart. So I did some work to this truck to get it back on the road. It is NOT currently inspected. I have taken it up and down the road locally but am not going to pay to register it insure it and inspect it just to sell it.

Overall solid truck. Only rot I saw was two small holes in drivers rocker panel (see pic) and front nose of hood has holes. This truck should not need anything to pass inspection as it runs and drives great and has minimal rust in mentioned areas only. Ignition went bad at some point so someone put a push button start on it no bid deal you can replace the ignition. Someone put a power window switch on drivers side passenger side still manual. I didn't get into all the little things like new wiper blades ect so that will still need done. I simply did the mechanical things to make this a road worthy vehicle. Only thing I can think to mention that this truck will really need is a new clutch in the near future it runs and drives great now but you can feel clutch doesn't have much life left. Other than that though very strong 350 engine and tranny. Below is the work I did I just put over $600 into it.

WORK I DID:

  • New Front Calipers and Pads
  • New Front Rotors
  • New Front Brake Hoses
  • New Rear Wheel cylinders
  • New Rear Brake kits
  • New Rear Brake shoes
  • New Rear Brake Hoses
  • ALL New Brake Lines
  • New Rear and Middle E-Brake lines (just need cableto lever in cab replaced yet).
  • Fresh tranny fluid
  • Fresh differential fluid
Again overall solid truck...running driving but does still need work as mentioned above. Tires all in good shape with good tread. If you are looking for an all original non chopped up 78' Chevy truck to restore make daily driver or use for another project this is the one!

**I am not a professional and so highly encourage you to come look atthis truckbefore you bid. I do require a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $200 due at auction end with balance due within 7 days of auction end. CASH ONLY NO CHECKS.

**Check my feedback and bid with confidence I have described this truck as honestly as I can; however I do not have history with it asI stated I bought it as a parts truck then decided to fix it up I have only owned it about a year. I am not a professional mechanic or body man so againI highly recommend you come look at it in person before bidding! I can not stress this enough as I will not be liable for someone buying and then complaining later there are things they didn't know about that may be wrong ect.Being sold AS-IS WHERE-IS.
