Description of 1984 Chevrolet Corvette |
SUMMARY 2,355 actual mile survivorSale includes an original build sheetSale includes both glass and painted targa topsGymkhana suspension / Z51 Performance Handling PackageBose audio systemFrom boulevard cruising to road course bruising, t's hard to find a better all-around performer than a modern Corvette. And once Chevrolet firmly established the brand as a global tour de force, t began a constant quest to achieve increasing levels of performance and desirability. No generation of Corvette emphasizes the transition from muscle car to all-out sports car better than the C4. And this awesome coupe, 2,355-mile all-original survivor, s probably one of the cleanest C4s we've ever seen. If you're in the market for a cool classic that'll hold its own at the cruise night and the stoplight, ake a look at this awesome Chevy! BODYWORK/TRIM With less than 3K miles on the clock, his razor-sharp Vette is a well-maintained garage queen that's assembly line perfect in virtually every way. The car's Medium Gray Metallic 2-stage is clean and glossy. Its lightweight panels display great fit under ancillary hardware that functions without issue. Those panels, opped by either a glass or painted targa, ave likely never felt anything more aggressive than a soft detailing cloth. And when that level of ownership is combined with Bowling Green's first-rate build quality, t creates one seriously capable sports car that presents well and runs great! ENGINE Cosmetic appeal aside, his Corvette remains a high performance neck snapper. Lift its long hood and you'll find an original L83 small block that benefits from smooth Crossfire fuel injection. In 1984 guise, hat efficient mill twists 9 to 1 compression into 205 horsepower and 290 lb./ft. of conservative torque. And despite solid performance numbers, t passes stiff emissions tests, rives like a commuter car and pulls impressive MPGs on the highway! Aesthetically, verything on this 350, rom its pristine wiring to its fresh belts and unique air cleaner, eflects a history of fastidious maintenance. Twist the key and the cylinders rumble to life, ending rhythmic notes through subtle exhaust. And with one tap of the throttle, he engine zings toward redline. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Slide under this stiff Vette and you'll find a uniframe chassis that unites a well-maintained Gymkhana suspension with an optional Z51 Handling Package. That suspension consists of double A-arms up front and a transverse leaf out back. At the corners, ower-assisted, ulti-piston calipers clamp vented rotors. And turns come courtesy of factory power rack-and-pinion steering. Like most Corvettes, his C4 strikes a good balance between bone shaking firm and Lexus soft, hile providing a level of grip that would be right at home at a local track day. Power flows through a Doug Nash 4+3 transmission to snappy 3.07 gears. Spent gases are mitigated by well-mannered pipes and GM-branded mufflers. And rolling stock consists of machined and painted blades, hich spin 255/50ZR16 BF Goodrich g-Force Sports around vivid cross-flag center caps. INTERIOR Take a look inside this Chevy and you'll find an impressive leather interior that's clean and to the point. All the car's plastics are fresh, ohesive and exhibit none of the trademark cracking displayed by most of GM's 'big window' rigs. In the dash, lectronic LCD gauges hover over strong climate control and a standard Delco-GM head unit. Perforated buckets, eaturing 6-way power adjustment for the driver, re extremely comfortable for long hauls. Deep-set carpet and monochromatic side panels flow through a series of large Delco-GM Bose speakers. In front of the driver, cross-flag-branded wheel spins between a tilting column and factory shifter. Behind the passengers, fully carpeted hatch provides adequate room for an overnight get-away. And naturally, ll the luxuries you'd expect are present and accounted for including power windows, ower door locks, ower mirrors and electronic cruise control.
