Description of 1955 Chevrolet Cameo Pickup |
I have had this 1955 Chevrolet Cameo pickup for about a year and I need to sell it. The pickup is a decent project with rust really only in the doors. The cab has been changed over at some point, ut the vin tag was given to me with the pickup. It's a very complete pickup with extra parts. All the dash parts are in the bed of the pickup, s are the heater box parts. The bed of the pickup is pretty darn nice for being all original. there are very few issues with the bed. A couple little chips and bad paint. There are no big cracks. The fiberglass is probably the worst on the tailgate, ut easily fixable with some work. The bumper sides are not rusty, ut do have some small dents in them. The spare tire carrier is in good shape. The Cameo has the original engine, hat I was told was rebuilt years ago, ut sat. I have started the engine and ran it while dumping gas into the carb. I think it will run fine. The front sheet metal is pretty good, ut there are typical dents and bondo from many years of repair, ut I think in pretty good shape. The doors are the weak spot on the pickup and will need lots of work or replaced. At one point the cab had a sunroof in it and it was welded up. They seem to have done a good job on it. The cab floors and firewall are in good shape. The cab corners also look good. The seat frame is very solid and still all together, ut will need recovered. There is no front glass, ut the back glass is there. The side glass should be replaced if restoring the pickup, ut that's your call. This is a very decent project that someone could have on the road after getting the engine up and running with a new tank and probably a new wiring harness. The brakes all need gone through too. Please ask all question prior to bidding and I can take more pictures if needed. This is a PROJECT, ut what I think is a decent one. NO bids from people with "0" feedback until you speak with me first. Thanks and Happy bidding.
