Up for bid is a 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Lakewood station wagon. The Corvair Lakewood was in production only for two years 1961 and 1962. I rescued this car from a barn in Michigan. The car was sitting in the barn for approximately the last 6 to 7 years. The car was purchased from Robert D.Nooyer Chevrolet Inc. in Holland Michigan. I have a copy of the original title from Michigan and other neat paperwork that was also found in the car. I have a clear Illinois title for the car. The body on the car is very solid. The only major rust on the car is on the drivers side door jam and the front panel under the front bumper. There are some dings here and there also. There were some patch panels put on the floor pans. The car was re-sprayed in 1981 and some amateur body work was done on left rear quarter panel. Appears that all the trim pieces are there, nd the glass is in very nice shape. The car has the original drivetrain. Car does not run, the engine appears not to be frozen. Car has a four speed transmission which was an option that year. Car shows 66,000 miles on it. The interior is in good shape. The door panels and headliner and seats need some tender loving care. There is a rip on the drivers side seat. All inspections and questions are welcome prior to bidding. Happy bidding and see the USA in your Chevrolet.
