Description of 1965 Chrysler Imperial

I am selling my 1965 Chrysler imperial Crown 4 door luxury sedan. Other projects and limited space require me to sell. This fantastic old luxury liner has power everything. Yes even the vent windows and antennae. All of the electronics function flawlessly except for the power doors which has a bad relay. Additionally. all courtesy lights work and the car is equipped with both tilt steering and seatbelts. It has a very smooth and well done in the correct factory shade of silver and features a red Leather trimmed interior with red flor de lis cloth seating surfaces. The original 413 V-8 starts and runs quietly as it should with only 40. 00 original miles. It has Power Steering. Automatic Transmission. AC. I had our local mechanic do a complete 4 wheel brake overhaul in December 2012. She stops perfectly. Replaced the alternator with a new one but it did not fit as well as the original so I had the original completely rebuilt and reinstalled it myself. This car has virtually no rust. the only rust I can find are two minor bubbles on the rear cowling directly behind the rear passenger window. One of the most unique things about this car is the fact that the wood trim you see in the dash and steering wheels was harvested. shaped and finished then installed. courtesy of trees that were standing in 1865. The floor pans and spare tire pan are original and solid as the day it left the assembly plant. The Silver paint was redone sometime prior to my purchase in 2012. This car rides and drives very well. I drove it from my former home in East Tennessee all the way to Corpus Christi Texas via stops in Huntsville Alabama. Gulf Port Mississippi. College Station Texas and Victoria Texas. I have taken on weekend jaunts to Houston Texas as well as Galveston Texas. I also occasionally take it to work in Bishop Texas. Yes. it is that reliable of a car. This great classic is ready to drive the entire family or your personal entourage to the next cruise in. The front seat needs to be reupholstered as it has torn a bit from age. Carpets and head liner are in excellent condition. There is one minor dent on the hood. it is pictured. Most people do not notice it but I do. can easily be lifted. Also the chrome is in phenomenal shape as is the trunk and other compartments. Car will come with two spare hubcaps and car cover. The tires are gold wall tires with only 6. 00 miles on them.
