The Car That Made a Difference
I am an automotive broker. I have been brought in especially for this very unusual and rare car. I have used my digital camera to take all the photos myself. None of the pictures have been touched up or photoshopped. The photos depict the actual car as it looks today.
I would like to present to you for the first time for sale, ince it was first sold, his well kept 1972 Chrysler New Yorker 2 Door Brougham. Unbelieveable! It only has 74,211 original miles! It is all original. The paint shines so brightly it's hard to imagine, hat it is the original paint that has lasted more than four decades. It has always been garaged since it was purchased off the showroom floor. The original 440 cubic inch engine wih the original 4 barrell carburator, till work as they did in back in 1972. The interior is still nice and very comfortable, our standard AM/FM Stereo, ith power windows and power door locks working as designed. This car is equipped with the ultra rare chromed steel vented wheels with matching center cap and beauty ring. The trunk is big enough to put luggage, few bicycles, nd groceries. Both the front and back seats have the luxury of plenty of legroom while seated.
Mr."C", ived in Southern California most of his life and career. His retirement was coming soon, nd wanted to buy a car that had it all and that it would last. He researched all the cars at the time to find the right car for him. His wife had passed on and thought he wanted a sports car, ut he wanted a back seat too, o take his buddies out to dinner. He felt he no longer needed 4 doors. He spent days, nd several trips to a few dealerships in and around town. He finally found his dream car! Yes, e found a car built tough and fast, e found the 1972 New Yorker Brougham and fell in love with it. He got every accessory on it that he could afford. He paid cash for it and drove it home. He was so proud. He loved the car and kept it cleaned and detailed all the time, ept up all the services during all those years. Soon the car passed to his son, ho is now in his seventies and has kept the car just as his dad has all these years. It took a lot to think about selling dad's car, u, he son no longer had space to keep it. He contacted me and asked if I could sell his father's pride and joy on ebay, o that the world could have a chance to see what a car looks like when its taken care of, y somebody who loved their car. I present this car to the world to see. The very last of the real muscle car era, ave a look and tell me what you see?
Chrysler for 1972
The high-output 440 engine with the 4 barrell carburator, ild cam and dual exhausts was marketed as the Magnum in Dodges, he Super Commando in Plymouths, nd the TNT in Chryslers. From 1972 to 1974, he engines were re designed to run on unleaded-gasoline and were rated with a 280 net horsepower. This horsepower rating was limited only to the Chrysler New Yorkers, ewports and the Dodge Monaco Police cars and Plymouth Fury Police Cars.
