You won't find another of these. This 1954 Chrysler New Yorker is in original condition, nd looks like it was just pulled from a barn. You might find a few of these that have been restored, ut you won't find one with a patina like this that actually runs and drives great. I recently decided tomake a "Tribute" car out of it. I didn't realize that Lee Petty won the 1954 NASCAR Championship usingthis same model of Chrysler. This car was prurchased in 2004 by the guy that I bought it from. He purchased it from the son of the original owner, ho drove it from new until about 1990, hen it was apparently parked. It has oil change stickers on the door going back about 40000 miles. The only major item that's been redone is the engine, ut many minor items have been replaced and rebuilt, ncluding the entire brake system, ith the booster rebuilt by Whitepost. Fuel system has been gone through with the fuel pump replaced, ank cleaned, nd lines replaced as necessary. The generator, tarter relay, nd voltage regulator have been professionally rebuilt. All rebuilt and replaced items were selected for their patina, o help maintain the original look of the car. The car turns heads wherever it goes, nd always builds a crowd at car shows. Won "most nostalgic" at the 2014 Mississippi ScareCrow car show, n event with almost 1000 cars. Most of the forging description was taken from the previous sellers comments and appears to be accurate.
