Description of 1971 Chrysler Newport

Very nice, olid original 1971 Chrysler Newport Royal 4dr. sedan finished in "Alpine White" over "Burnished Red Metallic". Sold new at Hunter Brothers Plymouth-Chrysler-Imperial in Pueblo, olorado, his car has spent it's entire life in Colorado's dry climate and has had four owners.The overall description:The car shows no signs of rust. Paint and interior are entirely factory. Front seat bottoms do have some splitting in the vinyl and the original carpet shows some fading, ut overall the interior is very presentable. Dash pad has no cracks, eadliner and door panels in excellent shape. There is a crack in the plastic radio surround plate on the face of the dash, ut the dash is still fully serviceable. Exterior paint shows some scratches, potting and nicks from being driven and used. This is what I would describe as "a ten-footer". Body is straight with no serious or major body damage. The chrome & trim is all present with the exception of the very fine, hin aluminum moulding which surrounds the grille. (Chrysler used very small, nadequate plastic retaining clips and they all failed.) Rear bumper could use rechroming due to fading, ut it presentable for a driver.

This cars runs very well and is an excellent road trip/highway vehicle. This Newport was recently driven on a several hundred mile trip to the Midwest and back and cruised comfortably at 75-80 mph without issues and used no fluids. Very few nice, riginal "Fuselage" style MoPars survive today, ith a majority being sacrificed to the demo derby circuit. This car deserves a good home where is will be appreciated, njoyed and preserved.
