1948 Chrysler Town and Country Convertible Lifetime Wholesale is proud to offer this super rare 1948 Chrysler Town & Country Convertible. With it's vibrant woodwork, the Town & Country was one of the most distinctive cars of the post-war era. It had an extensive use of white ash and mahogany wood panels with a contrasting frame. At the time Chysler described it as "perfect background for those to whom distinction comes naturally. There’s an air about this glorious convertible – a whisper of country clubs and moonlight rides." This Town & Country is a prime example of a recently restored classic. The exterior is Newport Blue with the interior being the Bedford Cord which was a very desired color combination. The Convertible top has been recently replaced and is in excellent condition as you can see in the listing pictures. This is a power convertible top as well that in 100% working order. The interior also has been completely redone to match the original Bedford Cord and looks great. The motor has been recently rebuilt and is perfect running condition. The exterior paint is Newport Blue and is in overall good condition there is a few flaws (small scratches and dings) which is expected for a car that is almost 70 yrs old. The wood panels on the car is absolutely gorgeous and is overall good condition. It has been refinished recently and looks great.
