Description of 1970 Chrysler 300 Series HURST |
(Prior owner’s remarks) RARE 1970 Hurst Edition Chrysler 300. Original 36,940 mile car. I bought with non-running motor from sitting and inoperative transmission. Original owner said it kept burning up trannys. I found a crushed cooler line and replaced it, had transmission rebuilt and has been fine since. Less than 100 miles since rebuild 5 years ago...Mechanically excellent (sound)...driving condition. Please be advised this classic needs a complete restoration OR just drive it as an original Rat-Rod!!!!! Year-One has all the interior replacement items ($1800 leather interior). All tie-rod ends and ball-joints are solid and the steering is tight. Has heavy duty Police interceptor (standard) front disc brakes. Good tires. I rebuilt the motor with standard pistons, original 906 heads...new oversize exhaust and intake valves, bearings, push rods etc. The engine had original cross-hatch still in the cylinders and NO ring ridges. Replaced 90% of the exhaust when I did the engine. True "Barn fine" and it was in my barn for the last 20 years! Here is your chance to buy a 1970 Chrysler "HURST EDITION" 300H ....this is a driving, wheel smoking car! There were only about 485 of these "Hurst" cars built!!
** I do have a super nice 1971 Chrysler "300" Coupe, 440 ci. 375 HP, rally red, white hard top, automatic transmission donor car that could be used to help restore this Hurst car. It’s a complete vehicle, minus engine and transmission. This is a rolling car. Can purchase with bill of sale and keys. ($1,500) ** I also have a super nice (like NOS) set of road-rally wheels, spinners and trim rings for this car $1000. (My notes) (seller) About the 300 Hurst: The floor pans need replacement, frame rails are excellent! The trunk floor needs replacement. Windshield corners need work as does trunk corners. This is why I have a donor car. All the side panels, doors and valances are sound and only need some minor work to refinish. Per the donor car: it’s a 1971 Chrysler 300C, 2 door coupe. It’s mostly a rust free car with the exception of small repair areas in the trunk and rear window area. I do have the keys for it, but I purchased it along with the 300H for parts, and no title. I can write a bill of sale for anyone who might like to restore and title the vehicle.
The 300H engine and transmission were rebuilt less than 200 miles ago. Numbers matching engine, rebuilt non numbers matching transmission. Drives down the road nice! Speedo not working ** I performed a coolant system flush in 2015 and I filled the fuel tank with 91 octane fuel. I have put about 30 miles on the car since 2015. On Jun-10-16 at 18:05:11 PDT, seller added the following information: I have over $500 of of parts and a few NOS parts that go with this car. I have a pair (2) NOS grill turn signal covers ($160) with gaskets, and (1) heater control valve $150. I also have a pair of aftermarket heavy duty coil over shots for this too ($150) |
