Description of 1967 Chrysler Imperial |
I picked this land yacht up from the original owner over 20 years ago, and drove it around town just for fun. The tranny lost reverse, so I had it rebuilt. About 10 years ago I parked in my carport and the battery went dead. I contemplated restoring it and took a few parts off for storage. Alas, then I ran out of steam. Anyway, it has obviously fallen into disrepair. I tried to jump it, but she wouldn't turn over. I'm thinking that the next step is to dump some oil into the cylinders, but I'll leave that task for someone else. It still rolls and stops though. The floorboard has rusted through in the backseat area, and I spotted a little rust at the bottom of one quarter panel. There may be more, but I haven't spent a lot of time (read 'any') looking for it. In addition to what is pictured, I have the backseat, a door panel, and some other parts floating around down in my basement. I also have the owner's manual, original warranty, and some other old paperwork. Send me your email address and I'll shoot you a Dropbox link to my raw photos. The buyer must remove this vehicle within two weeks of the date of purchase. They only made about 500 of these, so it is a pretty rare car. It should be a fun restoration project for someone! Thanks for looking!
