Fairly scarce 1955 2 door Imperial Newport model. In 1955, Imperial became its own company within the Chrysler corporation. The 2 door coupe was named the Imperial Newport. One of only 3418 ever built. Car has been in California for decades if not since new. The battery is new and the 331 Hemi engine starts right up. The car runs, drives and stops well. The master cylinder and power brake booster were replaced a few years ago. The car comes with real wire wheels. The glass all looks good. The car has some pitting of the chrome, some surface rust in a few spots, some surface cracking of the leather interior, one tear in the seats (measuring about an inch long). Original color is cream and it is now painted white with the gold top. Car is located in California near Oakland.
