Description of 1956 Chrysler 300 Series Hardtop

This is a 1956 Chrysler 300 Hardtop that came with a 354 Hemi with dual quad Carburetor set up from the factory. This car is very complete and in very good used and restorable condition. Very little to almost no rust in this car, it's been kept indoors most of its life. The body is very strait. The interior is good with no rips or damage but it's driver quality interior, not concourse show quality. The odometer is showing 28,970. The car is about 95% complete (see pictures of parts). The only thing really missing is the engine block but they are for sale here and there on eBay. The pics of the engine show the original Intake and carbs that came with this car from the factory. The engine that is in it is a loose "mock up" engine that goes with the car. We also have the original transmission that will go with the car. We are also including the original Bat Wing Air Cleaner that came with the car from the factory.
The 1955,1956 and 1957 Chrysler 300 was a very important piece of automotive history. Those three years were ran in NASCAR and was tearing up the race track during that time time period. In 1956 one of Chrysler's magazine ads read "1956 Chrysler 300, The fastest car in the world”. They made 1,102 of these 56 Chrysler Hardtops and a expert on these that lives in California says that there is about 140 left in the world. When restored these cars do very well in higher end collector auctions.
Basically it's 100% complete minus the engine block. The block was sent out many years ago to be Hot tanked and get ready for fresh build and unfortunately the original owner was killed in a car accident and his family never got the block back. But the good news is that they are readily available on the internet.

Low starting bid and low reserve on the great piece of automotive history.
