1961 Imperial 2 door coupe. One of 1007 coupes built in 1961. Only year for the tall fins. Wilder design and much rarer than a 1959 Cadillac. 73k mile Colorado car with original interior and mostly original Coronado Cream paint. Being an Imperial it's loaded with power steering, power windows and has Mopar Air Conditioning. The dash pad is good with very little cracking and the interior is unripped except tears where the driver sits. The carpet has been removed. The body is very solid with rot limited to very small areas directly behind the rear wheel well trim on both sides and lower rear corner of the right side front fender. The trunk, floors and rockers are in excellent shape. It would also make a perfect donor for body parts to restore a rusty convertible. This car is an excellent candidate to get running and drive as is or restore. Personally, I would do the mechanicals and drive as is. It seems as though car was a driver that was parked due to fuel tank problems and sat for some time. Car will start and run with fuel pump inlet line dropped in tank of fuel and transmission does go into forward and reverse gears. Engine soundsfine, butwill need exhaust systemand has acouple leaky freeze plugs.Brakes will need work from sitting.
