Ok, here's the story. I bought this limo with my father around 2003 for 22,000 from a limo company in New York. For the first 10 years we would drive friends around in it occasionally. The last 5-7 years it pretty much just sat in the driveway. My dad would start it maybe 2-3 times a year. My dad took the car to Fantomworks in Norfolk Virginia for work to be done in 2013. Fantomworks is also know for its tv show on the velocity channel. (This car was almost featured on the show until my father became sick). The car had over 13,000 work done to it. Included in the work was a booster system added to the brakes since it is the old drum brakes. A rebuilt carburetor, fuel tank cleaned and sealed, as well as a few other things. I have the receipts with all the work somewhere. Anyway, fast forward to now. My father passed away in May of 2016. The car has not been started in 2 years (the battery is dead now) I have absolutely NO mechanical background so to get this car road ready is not in my budget. As you can see by the pictures rust has started to set in since it's been sitting. This car is being sold AS IS with no guarantee that it runs and buyer is responsible for getting car checked out BEFORE end of auction so they know what they are getting. I am the most honest seller you'll ever meet so if you have ANY questions I will answer to the best of my ability. So here is what I know. It is a 1961 custom limousine. I do not know when or where it was made into a limo. I do not know the engine size, maybe the pictures I provided can let you know. It DID used to run very nicely when my dad was alive and started it periodically. Even with the booster system for the brakes I personally HATED them. It almost felt like you had to pump them once when starting to stop before they started to brake. Is this normal for a booster system? Because I don't know. The AC never worked as long as we had it. The liner off the roof on the outside needs to be repaired or replaced, it seems to be peeling away from the trim that holds it in place. The sunroof worked when we bought it but stopped opening at some point, might be a fuse. The sunroof seems to leak a little when it rains. This is another place where the outside roof liner is coming up around the sunroof seal. I will answer any and all questions. The car is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. If you'd like to come see it just contact me and I'll meet you at the location. I would love for somebody that is a true car enthusiast buy this and put the necessary money and time into a full restoration. That was the plan with my dad and me to do but life happens and we never got around to it. Please don't plan to drive this car anywhere when you win the bid. I would suggest a tow or shipping to your location. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time unless somebody uses the buy it now feature as I do have it listed for sale in my area. Best of luck on this one of a kind CLASSIC!!!
