1948 Chrysler Town and Country Sedan This Beautiful, Low Mileage, (41,679), Super Low Production, Top of the Line Town and Country Sedan (One of 1,176 Built) was a Private Treaty Acquisition from a Private Museum in Englewood Colorado in February 2017. Its Extensive Documentation goes back to the Original Special Order deposit and Delivery Paperwork Hand Signed by T.J. Kirkup, the Owner of Kirkup and Philips Chrysler Plymouth, Ithaca, New York. This Great Example is presented in Mostly Original Condition with the exception of some recent Excellent Professional Refreshing. These Distinctive and Elegant Town & Country's developed a Passionate Following after World War II. The C38 is considered to be the most Extravagant Example of Great Hand Built Craftsmanship and Rolling Sculpture Ever in American Woodie Sedans. Their Workmanship was Second to None. However, in 1948, It was So Expensive to Build, Chrysler Reluctantly decided after only one year in production, to stop building these Gorgeous Definitive Masterpieces in December 1948, the end of their second year. This Impressive Town and Country Remained in Single-Family Ownership in New York state From NEW. It was stored on Blocks in a Heated Garage since the 1953 death of the Family's patriarch, with 39,000 Original Miles showing on the odometer. Ownership passed to his daughter, who renewed the registration each year, but, could not bring herself to drive the car. It remained in the heated garage until she passed in 2007. It was Sympathetically Freshened by a close Family Friend, a Service Manager of a local Dealership.
