Ebay offers our Feedback rating for a reason,... try trusting it. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This car has been in Az since the 70s. The last owner was an older gent, who put a few grand into the car just with general repairs and keeping it up as a weekend driver. (receipts included). I have no problem ever just hopping in it and taking it to a cruise nite and up to the store to get some food. Its far from perfect, but for some it may just be perfect. I love the way it i, as is. It still gets plenty of attention and I dont have to worry about the paint getting scratched or a dent some where. Interior was partly redone about 20 yrs ago. Its in decent shape but not perfect. Great for a fun driver car. As far as rust goes, because it had a rubber trunk mat in it for many yrs, the trunk got the worst of it. Rocker and floor really in nice shape. Mild rust if any there (SEE PICS) Rest of the car is very solid, AZ has been very nice to this car and it sheet metal. Just not to the rubber and some of the plastic stuff. The paint has some shine, but shows alot of patina front to rear, esp the roof. Its OLD paint, most of it could be original still. I see no real signs of overspray from a repaint anywhere. Its been here in Az for many yrs, possibly since new. DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND BUILD ANYWAY YOU WANT, NO HARM NO FOUL ! Excellent Investment / Clean Clear Arizona Title apparently some people who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules. So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid. Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
DRIVETRAIN: factory Hemi 383 V8 runs and sounds good. Matted to it is the factory 2 spd auto trans and the pushbutton set up still works pretty well and simple to use. Very original and unmolested under the hood. No weird noises or smoke coming from the engine.Trans shifts fine too. It may need a minor tune up, but as for now, It starts all the time with the key and Ive driven it across town a few times.Steers and brakes fine, slight clunk in the front end, prob control arm bushings. INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, not really too bad. AZ and time shows normal wear n tear, but Im sure the seats where redone at one time. Looks to have been a radio delete car from the factory. Doors open and close fine and all the glass is good and windows roll up and down ok too. Current radio I dont think was working or it needs a new speaker. Some pitting on the chrome inside. Typical when these cars are parked with little to no circulation and the heat. All the gauges seem to work properly except for maybe the gas gauge, I need to double check.
EXTERIOR:the body very straight for its age, but this is a 80% rust FREE survivor. All the sheetmetal looks to be original from 1959, at least from what I can tell.Chrome didnt fair too well on the bumpers and they are a little worse for wear but the stainless trim looks good. The front grill and surrounds look to be in pretty nice shape too. Rust or rot I should say is almost non existent on the body. Much nicer by comparison to most Mopars this old living on the Eastcoast. Blinkers and all the exterior lites seem to be working fine. I saw didnt see any rot repair from over the yrs or real signs on the lower rear rockers. See pics. While under the car, I saw very little if any rust holes etc. SEE PICS PLEASE !!
SUSPENSION:the suspension looks normal from what I can see Just your basic factory set up front and rear. Drum brakes all around. No wacky mods and surface rust at best. Makes coming apart a breeze. Rides pretty nice going down the road too, almost glides too nice. Shocks are probably a little old and as mentioned, sometimes I hear a mild clunk up front when turning. Prob a bushing going south. Tires not in bad shape at all.
Check out ALL the pics below -----> it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.
There you go, probably The BEST represented Mopars on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars. People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks. Having as much as the original steel on a non restored car these speaks volumes. Survivors are getting harder to find ! Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.
