Description of 1962 Chrysler 300 Sport --

A fantastically designed exterior, a brand-new interior, and plenty of V8 power under the hood â€" this 1962 Chrysler 300 Sport is a long and low classic that offers distinction for quite an affordable price. This was the first year the 300 name extended beyond the letter series of cars, and so much of that ultra-premium appeal was instantly given to this sedan. And after all, why not? A hardtop sedan like this has a terrific pillar-less profile... that we love on an upper-class '60s machine. While this might look off-white in the pictures, it's believed to be finished in its factory-correct shade of Dawn Blue. It's a subtle color that will look absolutely sophisticated parked next to any white vehicle. Overall, Chrysler really created a unique look with the car. It's in the angle of the headlight cluster; the way the marker lights flow into the fenders and end at the wheel well for the whitewalls; and the rear end where the taillights expertly follow the nearly impossibly curvy form. No one would dare producing something this complicated in today's world. The interior has just come back from the reupholsters. So you still get the '60s style, but with a far fresher feeling. There's plenty of room in the back of this full-size sedan to carry family and friends. But any time you're out for a solo cruise, the wide armrest up front turn the bench into an individual bucket-style experience. Best of all, there's power windows, so you can show off this pillar-less profile without ever leaving the driver's seat. Within all this darkness of the fresh black interior is the bright work art that is the dash. This was truly ambitious style with a half-translucent steering wheel and a very unique gauge cluster. This is flanked by push buttons for not only the heat/defrost, but also the transmission, too! Chrysler's 383 cubic-inch V8 was their bedrock for the muscle car generation, and it makes for effortless driving in this sedan. Plus, the block's casting date is so close to the production date, that it's believe this is the original power plant within the very honest engine bay. True luxury cruising also means a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission and power steering. Great looks meets a great history, and there's even an extra fresh interior. This is a terrific total package, and at a price like this, you'll want to hurry if you want to take it home. Call now!
