Description of 1949 Chrysler New Yorker Convertible

Stock #: 1949-1 Exterior Color: Blue Interior Color: Blue Body Type: Convertible Woody Transmission: Manual Fuel Type: Gas Engine: Straight 8 Extremely rare Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country Convertible Woody that is in excellent overall condition, we would rate this vehicle at an 8 out of 10. This Woody was restored in the late 80's and although it is an older restoration, it still shows very well with minimal signs of wear. The wood could use a little TLC. The interior is in mint condition and everything works as it should. The carpet is not the correct carpet for the car and shows some wear. This Chrysler has the straight 8 engine with the unusual Manual/Automatic transmission, meaning once it is placed in a forward gear with the clutch, you do not need to use the clutch again until you choose reverse. This car drives extremely well, is extremely quiet and has plenty of power. These models in a #1 condition are selling for around $120,000. The restoration in the late 80's was performed by the 2nd owner of the car (90 years old) who we are now assisting with the sale.
