Description of 1956 Chrysler New Yorker Newport |
For sale is a RARE 1956 Chrysler New Yorker Newport automobile that has been in storage for over 13 years with only 39. 68 miles on it. It has the original paint from the factory on it and is the RARE 4 door hard top model which Chrysler only produced 3. 99 units of in 1956. The automobile also has the original factory optional Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels that are a rare item to behold. The auto is the push button automatic model and the engine is the 354 HEMI 280 h. p. with factory duel exhausts. This car was purchased in El Monte Calif. in April 1987 from an elderly lady and driven to the Chicago area with no problems This auto is major RUST FREE! The auto was pulled out of storage and sent to a mechanic to have a new fuel pump installed and a new float assembly installed in the fuel tank. Oil & filter was changed and a new battery was installed. The engine runs very quiet and the transmission shifts smoothly. The auto should most likely have new spark plugs installed and new points installed too. I would advise checking out the brakes since the unit has been in storage for so long. The radio comes on but I cannot receive and stations for some reason. The car be seen in Dixon Illinois and I can be contacted for an appointment at 815-288-4139 for you to make an offer if you desire. Again. this is a RARE opportunity for you to own a very good condition 1956 Chrysler with only 39. 68 miles on it. DO NOT CONTACT me if you do not have the funds or if your wife will not let you purchase it. I do not have time to play GAMES for people who like to dream! |
