Description of 1979 Chrysler LeBaron

Its Car show season! At least over here anyways! This car is for the one who wants attention and that different look than anything else on the road or at any show. For sale is my old Chrysler Woody Station Wagon. This vehicle shows just over 24. 00 original miles. It's a 1979 Lebaron Town and Country station wagon. This car is very clean for its age and runs and drives great. Unfortunately I don't have service repair history that confirms the miles as original. I do have the original window sticker. buyers order and some other paperwork from the original owner as pictured. Everyone that has seen this car says that it has to be original. The original MoPar upper hose with the factory part number is present. The original part number on the OE factory muffler is present as well as the original exhaust and catalytic converter. There are some original part number drive belts that are in the back trunk area that go with the car also. The gentleman stated that he purchased from the original owner and had the original tires on it as well. He replaced due to dry rot and stated they had good tread on them. but unfortunately he didn't keep them. :O( For any other mileage originality naysayers. there is even factory paint overspray on the exhaust manifolds where they meet by the heads. Most likely at 124K this paint would be all the way burned off the manifolds. The car was undercoated presumably early in life and has preserved the underside of it rather well. I have put about 150 miles on the car and trust it. but please remember this car has sat way more than been on the road and it is plausible that it could develop problems from setting so much as far as driving it home across country goes. I would do it in a heart beat. but I know enough about auto repair to feel confident in case of a roadside repair if necessary. It is powered by a 318 V8 with a 904 Torqueflight Automatic. It retains its original lean burn system that is still functioning which is unusual to find. I also have an NOS lean burn computer that goes with the car in the Mopar box. As you can see it is loaded with options. AM/FM 8 TRACK radio! AC (needs charge). Cruise. Tilt. Intermittent wipers. Power seats. Power windows. Power locks. Leather. Exterior light group. etc etc. I'm sure I am missing something. but you can get all of the options from the pic of the original window sticker. The body is in very good shape. there is only one minor rust area by the rear quarter area that is actually through on the whole entire car. All the tires are near new. It has all of the original spare and jack that looks to have never been on the ground. The only reason for selling is I need the garage space to get in another project. This car wont disappoint and runs great on the highway. Cruise works. Now for some not so perfection: I am just trying to be honest in my representation of the car. The original black paint is overall very good. but there are a couple of dings on the hood and a few spots that could use some touch ups. The moldings as pictured have some raised places where it is lifting off of the body on the right rear door and quarter. The front seat has some discoloration that are brown spots on the leather. I am not sure what it is doing. but started when I had it in my garage and has seem to gotten bigger. I would assume a redeye would take car of it. Otherwise the seat is in pretty good shape. The wipers don't move. nbsp;but motor works. I haven't looked at it. but assume the grommet that holds the transmission has disintegrated. The power door locks need the actuators replaced on the drivers side. but I have some spares that go with the car. I did replace the front caliper pistons and used rebuild kits to keep the original calipers in use. The phenolic pistons were hanging up. I also replaced the front brake hoses. they were starting to age. I have a rear one. but not installed. This is a very nice driver that needs a new home. This is a closeup of the right rear quarter behind the rear wheel. It is the ONLY rust through on the whole car that I can see. The floors are perfect and undercoated. No holes in the trunk floor. underhood area etc. Tags: Plymouth Volare Dodge Aspen Hemi Woody Wagon.
