Description of 1966 Chrysler 300 Series

Offering for sale 1966 Chrysler 300 Convertible. Reduced price. no reserve. The good: Rare. loaded. Mopar big-block convertible. Runs & drives great. Original 383 has been professionally rebuilt April 2013. Comp Cams thumper. hidden electronic ignition. Carter AFB 750 CFM (built to tolerate modern gasoline with ethanol). Runs strong. Dual-snorkel air cleaner. Rebuilt 727 April 2013 with shift kit and new torque converter. stock stall. Shifts strong. Rebuilt 3. 23 rear with new bearings April 2013. Dual exhaust. 2. 5" galvanized with X-pipe. 40-series Flowmasters. Sounds great see pics of piping. Good battery and fresh fluids. filters. plugs. etc. Car is barely broke in (approx 500 miles on rebuild). 60s-era (not reproduction) Stewart-Warner Green Line gauges- Oil. Volts. Water Temp in SW lighted bezel. Period-correct. Heater core blocked off to accommodate the temp gauge sender at water pump. Heater worked fine when hooked up (hoses included for retrofit). Factory A/C with new compressor and clutch. 2009. Original setup. works great. blows cold. Rebuilt brakes. good Goodyear tires- 90-95% tread. Includes jack assembly and spare wheel/tire. Power windows. all work. Power seat works. Working convertible top. good condition. see pics. New KYB shocks all around. Speedo. trip odometer. lights. and signals all work. . All courtesy lights work. Wipers work. no washer setup hooked up. Car has very presentable interior. black/black. Chrome is nice. leather is nice (redone at some point). doors. seatbelts. top cover. are nice. Very clean. never driven in rain or bad conditions or abused. no accidents. I drive my kids around in the car and consider it safe. Includes many spare parts: all new Chrysler Solex windows near-perfect glass. extra chrome trim pieces. extra parts. original 4131S Carter carb and points distributor. extra harness. chrome sew-in floor mats from original carpet (super rare). Too many extras to remember and list. The bad: The car needs new paint job for show. Power steering drips a lot. Older front end bushings; vehicle still drives fine. Needs paint & body for complete restoration; will require right rear floorpan. trunk pan. rocker panel. lower rear quarter bodywork. Nothing structural or serious. Some trim pieces will need polishing or rechrome for show quality. yes. including the taillight bezels. The carpet is not original. Radio. fuel gauge. and clock do not work. Horn intermittent. Windshield scratched from wiper but no cracks or chips. This 300 is easily restorable and very profitable. especially if bodywork is available cheap to you. All the rare stuff is here.
