Description of 1947 Chrysler C38 Convertible Highlander Plaid

1947 C38 Chrysler Convertible Coupe Highlander Plaid

Welcome and Thank You for Looking!

Presenting an excellent example of this very desirable Post War Chrysler.
This Chrysler C38 Convertible Coupe Highlander is an older restoration.

It’s a “turn-key” car that can be enjoyed in it’s present “drive anywhere condition.”
The vehicle has always been garaged since my Father has owned it and the odometer mileage is accurate to the best of my knowledge.
The car features the following factory accessories: The highly desirable Highlander Plaid Interior, Dual side mirrors, Radio, Dual Heaters, White Wall Tires, Locking Gas Cap, Front and Rear Courtesy Lights, Lighter, Clock and Directional Signals and the often missing Convertible Top Boot.

All of these accessories are in good working condition except for possibly the clock and radio. Before he passed my Father told me on all his Chryslers, he disconnected the clocks and radio to prevent battery drain. According to a note that came with the title from the previous owner he acquired the vehicle in 1986 from Kearney Nebraska.

This vehicle is still driven occasionally locally around town by me when I have the time and the weather permits.

It is equipped with the factory M5 Semi-Automatic Transmission behind a Fluid Drive coupling.

All of the lights are in good working order.
All of the glass is in good condition with no cracks.
The Highlander plaid interior is in good but slightly faded condition.
The Front visors are in excellent condition.
The exterior paint is in good condition, and the under side of the car is solid.
The chrome and Stainless Trim on the exterior is very acceptable.

The often missing center bumper guard on the front bumper is present.
This is an excellent example of a strong running and pleasant appearing 1947 Chrysler Convertible.
It’s a fun to drive and attention demanding example of this fine marquee.
