Description of 1955 Chrysler Imperial

Thank you! 1955 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL SEDAN I am pleased to offer this incredible 1955 Imperial Sedan that has been stored in a dry warehouse for years. I have just brought the car out and offering it as part of my personal collection. What attracted me to this Imperial originally is its original unmolested condition and absolute completeness. Let’s go through all the major areas so you have as a complete picture of this car as possible. At some point in this Imperials life the bottom of the car had been repainted. That paint is now deteriorated to the point that it needs to be removed. There is no body work to perform other than skim coats to flatten any panels but most importantly there is no rust other than any chipped paint that is to the metal. All of the chrome is present and the only damage is pitting. There are no broken or missing pieces. All of the glass is excellent with no chips. cracks or broken pieces. All of the stainless is present. The tires are all decent tread but should be replaced with wide whites. The wheel covers are superb. Inside is all original with the only wear being on the driver’s part of the front seat. The carpet is actually very nice and it has the original foot rests in the rear. The dash and all of the bright work is simply breathtaking. I have never had a 55-56 Chrysler or Imperial with such nice components. Again all original. Even the threshold moldings are nice. You will be happy with the presentation of the interior. Open the trunk and again all original. There is no rust other than any surface rust appearing. All of the tools are present and even the instruction tag is present with the jack. This is as good as it gets. Mechanically the car runs well. I have changed the oil since it sat for so long as well as I have changed the spark plugs. I have not gone thru every system but the only things I have found are the headlamps inop all other lights work. Radio does not adjust and spot light does not turn on. All windows work however the master switch is stubborn. I have provided many pictures as well as undercarriage. Nothing has been touched up. photo shopped or altered.
