The Citroën Dyane is a derivative of the famous French Citroën 2CV or Deux Chevaux (meaning "Two Horse"). It shares the same opposed twin air-cooled engine and 4 speed transmission. The Dyane engine produced slightly more horsepower, allowing a higher top speed (~ 70 MPH). The Dyane also has a slightly longer body, yielding more interior room, and, unlike the 2CV, is a true hatchback. The Dyane also shares the 2CV's unique front-to-rear linked suspension and most other 2CV mechanical components.
Since over 10 million 2CV's and derivatives were made, finding mechanical parts is not difficult. The exceptions being certain body and interior parts that are unique to the Dyane.

In 2011, this car underwent restoration at Eurocar Imports, LLC, in Tom's River, New Jersey. Work included new floor pans and lower firewall section, and a new, galvanized frame.
A new/rebuilt engine from Burton 2CV Parts USA was installed in 2015 at Dave Burnham Citroen in New York. Other Mechanical and interior restoration was done by the owner, using parts from FPS West among others.
In 1981, a special, limited edition Citroen Dyane was produced in Spain. This special addition was known as the Dyane "Capra" (a reference to the astrological Capricorn). The Capra included a custom black and yellow paint scheme, special interior, and other subtle trim features. Eurocar Imports was able to reproduce this custom paint scheme on this car. There are fewer than a dozen Citroën Dyane's in the country, and this is the only Dyane Capra (original or replica) known in the USA.

• Shifts as it should (2CV's and derivatives do not have syncro's on 1st gear)

• Genuine Citroen 2CV Headrests added.

• Upgraded, Retractable shoulder harnesses up front, and original non-retracting shoulder harnesses moved to the rear seats.

• Added LED 3rd Break Light (no holes, easily removed, leaving the car untouched.)

• 123 Electronic Ignition

• New Front Shocks in approximately the last year

• 2 New Wheel Bearings

• Wheels where media blasted and Powder Coated (Including spare) in the last year

• Does not Drip or Leak Oil or LHM.
  

• Lights, Wipers, Voltmeter, Fuel Gage work

• Heater works, and does not smell. Ventilation/Defrosting is also better than that of a 2CV.

• Original Plastic Gas Tank. No Rust, No Leaks

• Garage Kept since Restoration.

This car is nearly 40 years old. It does have some things that are not perfect, including, but not limited to:

• Dash is missing the 4 way flasher switch, and possibly the wiring. It may never have had it.

• Adjustable headlights missing adjustment cable

• Rust remains at the top of the firewall. This is not visible, and has been treated with Fluid Film. Not progressing. The car leaks front and back in the rain, as they did from the factory.

• Rust underneath of the rear spare tire well. (Not Visible from Trunk). Treated, and painted over, Not progressing.

• I have only the hard top, I do not have the fabric top or the associated metal parts.

• I do not have the grill muff. It's not needed in Florida.

• Speedometer works, but sometimes makes noise in cold temperatures

• Rear suspension bumpers disintegrated/missing. New ones included. This is not an issue unless the rear seat/boot area is heavily loaded.

• Some interior parts are broken/cracked. The Floor mat has a hole worn through it.

If I have a complaint at all about this car, it is that it is "too normal". It's actually a completely practical car. Drive it to the grocery store, Drive it to work. It starts, runs, and keeps up with local traffic without problem, and gets nearly 50 miles to the gallon (Ethanol - Free fuel strongly recommended.)

I am selling this car Only to make room for another Citroen. It's fun to drive, and literally a winner at Car Shows. (Sorry, my Trophies are not included.)

It does not come with a box of parts. It comes with the keys. That's all you need to drive it away. (as mentioned, I will include the new Rear suspension bumpers)
