This is a 1973 Datsun 240z that I have been working on for the last 3 years.First I installed a 3.5 Olds aluminum V8 that was completly rebuilt with 10 to 1 pistons, erformance camshaft, ffy intake and a Edelbrock carb and a T-5 5 speed trans,This engine was chosen because of it's light weigh, t weighs less than the original 6 cylinder, f a smallblock chev or ls motor is used you add 300 lbs to the front end and that famous Datsun Zhandlingis lost. This involved a newdrive shaftand a newhydraulicthrow out bearing. I then upgraded the braking system with vented rotors and heavy duty calipers up front and solid disk breaks in back. I also installed a larger master cylinder and ahydraulice-brake (Drift Brake). The next step was body and paint, reinforced the floor frame rails to go the full distance of the floor tohandlethe extra power. There were a few minor rust spots that I repaired along with adding the new custom front and rear bumpers. The door handles have been shaved and it has remote poppers to open the doors without touching the car. I then painted it sunset orangewitchis a little lighter anda lotbrighter than theoriginalorange. I am not a professional body man or painter but it turned out real nice. Not show quality but great driver quality.I then bought some custom matching seat, ew carpet and new door panels. also a new dash cap. It has new 16" custom wheels and new 225/50/16 Dunlapdizerra 2 tires. The car has 2" lowering springs and new auto power anti-sway bars front and rear. The tach was replaced with a V8 tach so it would read correct. The oil pressure gauge is not currently working I am working on getting the factory gauge to work with the V8. I will have a working gauge installed before I sell it.
