1973 Datsun 510 in Datsun Mexican Orange. I am the third owner and have had the car for 10 years. I bought from the second owner and the car was in almost original condition. It was in original condition when 2nd owner bought. Car was in Sacramento area and must have been stored indoors. There is no rust and still has original seats and fuel door, tc. The original owner had a minor ding in the rear quarter and it was repainted professionally. The 2nd owner changed the wheels and front struts, dded a carpet kit and painted the headliner with upholstery paint. He got the stock motor rebuilt but never finished it. I purchased a Nissan S15 Nissan Silvia Spec-R front and rear clip with a 17km SR20DET and matched 6 speed transmission from Japan. This is the 250hp, urbo charged all aluminum (almost supercar) motor which has the original 17km from Japan and another 8 thousand miles in the 2000 pound 510, t is really too much fun. Big sway bar, n tank fuel pump, tainless fuel lines, attery located in the trunk, eadlights, very nice conversion. Full 3 inch stainless steel custom downpipe polished with non-polished the rest of the way to the back. Totally custom wired to run the S15 gauge cluster with a converter so the speedo and odometer read mph instead of kmph. Conversion runs all the running gear of the S15 (motor, ranny and differential) with custom driveshaft, V's and axles/halfshafts by the Driveshaft Shop. Adjustable boost controller, omputer and turbo are stock, little upgrade can double the hp from this motor. Custom intercooler and radiator with a gap between for an ac condensor, lectric fan triggered by the ecu the same as the stock fans, ustom aluminum intercooler plumbing. Aluminum high volume oil pan, teering box brace, ustom brake lines routed away from turbo and downpipe heat. 3 point belts for all 4 seats (this is a 4-door family car!).
There is ~18,000 miles on the drivetrain, 7KM + 8K miles...From memory, he chassis has 130K miles...
Things that could be completed: window felt, t has speakers I was going to install a hidden audio setup, t is all ready for the Nissan AC under the hood - I was going to install a vintage air unit, he passenger door lock needs replacement, ustom cluster surround, he muffler is currently not installed.
