Series 1 1970 240z Project HLS3012534 Built 10/1970 Registered as 1971. Guessing mileage is 105,095 Photos are from September 2015, car looks the same, started every couple days. More specific photos at anyone’s request. Rare series one, this car is a solid 20 footer and gets a ton of comments. Not a numbers matching car however though under the headliner this shade of green appears to be the original color. Block is #112462 (71-73 p30 L24) original block was #015512. I bought this car 3.5 years ago and it has been sitting in storage for the most part since then. I'm unsure as to the history of the car so I am posting what the original seller had in his ad along with more specifics. Parts of this car look great while others could use some work, finish it to suit your taste. It looks straight but does need some work, the exterior is pretty good looking but the recent paint is not great and rough in places. Runs great needs to be driven more. Smooth shifting original 4 speed trans with Centerforce clutch and 280zx LSD differential." "I was told by the previous owner that the A/C system the car has was a dealership option back in the 70's. It's a Frigette Custom unit and runs on R12 refrigerant. It needs to be recharged again because it only blows slightly cool. The seatbelts in the car are also very rare, they are original Takata shoulder & lap belts built especially for vintage 240z." - there is no compressor installed on this car NEEDS: The car looks to be largely original and could use some suspension freshening, new bushings, rear brakes adjusted, and new slave cylinder as it looks to have a tiny leak at the seal. Rear end needs work as there is a large thud when cutting the load at speed. Transmission is also original. The driver's side floor and floor support appear to be in good shape though they are dented from bad jack placement from previous owners, the passenger side floor needs replacing as it is original and located under the heater core that has leaked at one point (currently disconnected though heater hose connections are included). Floor support on passenger side also needs replacing due to rust and can be seen in the underside photos (see link). There is also a small painted over rust hole on the driver's side above the floor support behind the front wheel (see photos). Bumpers are included in the sale but need to be re-chromed, the rear is in fair shape but the front has a crack and will need to be straightened and repaired. Interior is largely original with the exception of full new dash cap (dash has large crack), the deleted radio (missing), cut door cards for speakers (not hooked up), alarm (not hooked up) and aftermarket wheel and shifter. The headliner is starting to droop, the seats have rips that need repair (brand new dragon automotive seat covers included). Rear hatch seals are new but main seal needs to be re-glued before seeing rain. EXTRAS: Now has new optima red top. Bumpers in need of repair included, heater core hoses (currently bypassed), car cover, dragon auto seat covers ~ $280 CONTACT AND BUYING: Car is sold as is, I’m trying to be as accurate as I can in the ad, the photos, and the videosand inspections are welcome, it is located in Kent, WA for any local inspections or viewings.
