Selling my 1970 Datsun 521. I have multiple projects going on right now and thought maybe someone would be interested in this cool little truck. Just waxed and buffed--people ask if it was just painted--it is not--mostly original paint with a cool patina look. This truck is a California rust-free vehicle from a dry climate--Very hard to find nowadays. It has a 5 speed manual transmission and a 2.4L engine. I believe this came out of a newer Nissan Hardbody pickup from the 80's. This swap was done before I obtained the truck. It runs great and I like the 5 speed manual--seems to move out pretty good and flies on the freeway. I just replaced thewindshield and gasket with a new one from Bobs Vintage Glass ($500). It has old school California license plates from the 80's and License plate frames from the 70's front and back. Interior is in decent shape. This is a nice daily driver--you could restore it if you want or drive it the way it is. I usually completely restore my vehicles, but I think this one is so cool the way that it is. Ive had some questions about the dependability. It is a Nissan and I had anindestructible 77' Datsunking cab as kid. That being said, I've driven it all around town--20 Miles at a time without issue. Its probably fine to drive anywhere, but I have not done that. To me these are toys. I drive new cars mostly, so the manners of a 45 year old vehicle are different from modern technology. I encourage all prospective buyers to come see this truck in person. You are welcome to spin it and thoroughly inspect it. Hopefully i can find her a new home. If not, I'm content to continue cruising her when I find the time. Finally, if you bid, please be respectful of my auction. I posted this truck a couple weeks ago and the winning bidder did not respond. If you have weak or little feedback, I will delete your bids if you do not first contact me. In addition, if you are out of the country, please contact me before bidding. I have sold several classic cars oneBay to buyers outside the country. I can assist you with transportation arrangements or meeting transporter. Thanks and good luck.
