Description of 1969 Datsun Other 2 Door Convertible |
1969 Datsun 1600 Roadster Convertible Up for your consideration is this very cool and hard to find '69 Datsun Roadster. The engine runs and was rebuilt nearly eight years ago. The car has been garage stored for nearly 30 years (since 1987) when it was last registered. Overall, the car is very solid with minimal rust asseen in the photos. The convertible top frame/hardware is all there but needs new canvas. All the glass is intact and in fantastic shape with no cracks or chips. The car is very original bumper to bumper. To error on the side of caution I didn't tryrunning the engine off the fuel tank but rather used an external gas can to start the the engine. I don't know the condition of the inside of the fuel tank andconsidering how long it has been sitting I didn't want to suck any bad fuel into the engine. Needless to say, I recommend dropping the tank and having it cleaned. Everything is there and as you can see it's a project worthy of restoration. The chrome is peeling off the rear bumper but is not rotted out. The floor pans are solid as are the inner wheel wells. The original keys (ignition and trunk) come with the car and work great. The underneath shows expected surface rust but no cancerous holes or rotting. Frame is solid This is a great, well preserved classic Datsun that is ready to get backon the road with some TLC. Itwouldn't take a lotto get it back on theroad as a driver. It appears to have had 1 repaint. All body gaps are great and all panels, doors, hood, trunk lid, etc... all line up nicely showing no signs of any collision repair. The hood is not attached at the moment asseen in the photos, but it will be reattached for transport. Everyone who has seen this car since pulling it out of storage loves it. It's a real head turner and you rarely (if ever) see them at car shows let alone drivingon the roads. This is a gem of Datsun history that the next vintage Datsun lover will certainly enjoy. Reserve is set low. My plate is full, otherwise I'd keep this onearound to play with. Shipping is theresponsibility of the buyer but I'm happy to help on my end to make sure things gosmoothly with your shipper. I'll consider fair and serious offers, just email me your best offer and we can go from there. I'm not desperate to sell it, but wouldlike to move it along to free up some space. No lowballing and I'm not open to trades on it. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. I'm happy to talk to serious buyerson the phone, simply email me your number and I'll give you a call. I have clear / clean Washington title in hand from the previous owner ready to transfer to the buyer. The car is located at my home in Orem, Utah (84097). |
