Description of 1972 Datsun Z-Series stock

For those who know this car, it doesn't need much of an introduction - a sports car classic and head turner. This is a completely and lovingly restored, 1972 Datsun 240Z located in Southern California.

Original L24 engine (HLS30 67615), SU carbs, and "Nissan" valve cover. Restored 1980's Carroll Shelby 14 inch mag wheels. Third and current owner after purchase in 1992. Restoration over two years (2005-2007) at 162,256 miles with complete overhaul and rebuild of engine* by C & F Auto (Costa Mesa, CA), complete refinish of body (including new floor pans and original color) by Alliance Collision (Costa Mesa), and new upholstery, interior panels, and headliner by Universal Auto & Marine Upholstery (Costa Mesa). Also new OEM chrome bumpers, Eibach springs, Tokico shocks, Retrosound radio, new floor mats, stainless steel exhaust, replacement badges, Dynamat sound and heat insulation throughout, and four new Kumho Sense 195/70R14 tires. OEM parts from Nissan or Motorsport Auto (Orange, CA). Only 1082 miles since restoration, always garaged, and never a daily-driver. Professional appraisal by Auto Appraisal Network 2/22/2017 (this report can be supplied on request).

*Engine rebuild with new valves, valve seats, pistons, rings, main and rod bearings; replace cylinder head; replace clutch and master and slave cylinders; replace flywheel; replace brake master; replace differential; install electronic ignition; replace fuel pump; rebuild SU carbs; power coat lines; polish valve cover and manifolds; plate headers and heat shield; refinish wheels; rebuild steering rack; replace heater core; replace choke cable assembly.

**Listing this car for fair market value as it will be going to a auction in Las Vegas if it does not sell.***
