Description of 1968 DATSUN 2000 Roadster

Here's an opportunity to invest your money on a sure thing while owning a very fun car to take on those weekend drives!
This Datsun Fairlady Roadster 2000 is an extremely unique collectible vehicle and very hard to come by in this condition/price.
What we have here is an ALL ORIGINAL Datsun Roadster 2000 with MATCHING Numbers in DRIVABLE shape. This is a perfect staring point for someone that wants a Roadster 2000 to own and restore eventually, but would like to enjoy it for a while before tearing her down. I own a Datsun restomod shop and had other plans for this Fairlady, but its really too nice to take apart and modify.
I would like to state that this car looks much better in photos and from 10 feet away. It is far from a show car which makes it that much more enjoyable to drive around before putting a ton of money into her. I would rate the overall condition a 6.5 out of 10 (10 being a show car). She does show her age up close and will need some attention and tlc, but is a good driver as is. The brakes need some attention, but I have yet to drive a roadster that had good working brakes.
The money these cars are fetching now is hefty. This is a GUARANTEED investment. There is no way this vehicle will depreciate, Ever! In my honest opinion, this should be selling for closer to $18-20k but it is priced for a quick sale. Hopefully she will go to a good home to someone that realizes the rarity of this car.
I would recommend inspecting this car in person so you know exactly what you're getting. Feel free to message me to setup a time.
The Good:Solid car! One of the finest NON restored versions I've seen available for sale at a reasonable price.Runs strong. The timing tensioner and chain were recently replaced. The carbs were recently rebuilt.Transmission feels good. Goes into all the gears easily without grinding.Minimal RUST. There are a couple of rust spots to deal with(listed below)but overall it is VERY rust free for a 1968 Datsun.Complete car. Most of the original parts are intact! only a couple pieces are missing that I've noticed thus far.
The Bad:Minor rusting for the age, but there are 2 prominent areas, both atthe fender bottom areas affecting the fender and the steel behind it. As mentioned above, I do restore Datsuns, and I CAN repair this for you after you purchase and pay for the car. The cost will be $900to repairthe fender rust and the area behind it.
If I was being very picky, id say the body and paint are fair, and she has had some marginal body and paint work done in the past. But most people wouldn't even notice her flaws. I do this for my profession so Ican seedefects easily. As mentioned above, although its far from a show car, it makes for a car that you can enjoy without worrying about parking it everywhere you go while she appreciates in value!
