Before I part this out into a million pieces and spread it around the World, which will probably happen, I want to give it a shot of salvation before execution. So I will list it complete and make one attempt to keep it together. Then it is gone forever as a complete car and will give life to many as a parts donor. This is an Arizona Z from day one. Original paint. But for the quarter of century, since 1993,it has sat in a field in Tucso, Arizona. This is a 1978 Datsun 280Z project I picked up recently in a package deal down in Tucson, Arizona.. It has been sitting forever. While it is an Arizona Z, after sitting so long, water trapped in the floors rusted out the rear driver side floor rail. Some rust in the front floor pans, but not too bad, Solid rockers, Not bad doglegs. Inner front wheelwells at firewall are solid and rustfree. Nice tailgate panel . Some surface rust in spare tire bottom due to trapped water every once in awhile.Nice front and rear bumpers with over riders and not bad bumper extensions. Drivers side door and front fender have damage due to probably something hitting it while in storage. This Z has a Carter 4 barrel carburetor conversion instead of fuel injection. Simple, cheap and easy to work on. 5 speed transmission. What you see is what you get. Nothing hidden, nothing bondoed over, painted over. After sitting so long, it will need everything.Top to bottom . In and out. The engine turns over fine but something is loose and rattling in the bottom end. No holes in block, no pouring oil, but I would figure engine rebuild timeOriginal straight Arizona Zs are getting harder to find This will be a great base to build a Z your way. Clean straight Arizona title.I travel around mostly the West Coast and might be able to get it to you or close for reasonable money. I can arrange shipping to Long Beach California shippers for export for $300 no problem. Datsun Zs are getting harder and harder to get in any shape these days. .
