This car was purchased new at Roberts Imports, Inc right... here in Grand Rapids, MI on June 4 1979 and remained with the original owner until a few months ago where it was purchased and titled by the second owner and recently acquired by us. The car remains highly original including all original interior, original paint, original wheels, original engine, transmission etc. The car was originally purchased as a second car and was never driven in the winter and hardly driven in the rain and the condition original condition of the car verifies this and is a testament to the car it has received throughout its existence. Highlights include power steering, power brakes, power windows, cold ac, bucket seats, console, 2 seat configuration, etc. The interior is in excellent original condition throughout, the seat material is free from tears, the dash is near perfect, the gauges all work, the panel upholstery is excellent and of course it shows some slight patina as it is 40 years old. The same can be said for the exterior paint. Overall, it shows lots of life, shows consistent care, but there are some chips and patina in expected areas. The engine bay is outstanding original as well as the underside. The car is powered by its health L28 2.8 liter inline 6, desirable 5 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. This car flat out drives awesome, pulls strong in all gears, tight suspension and brakes straight. Datsun Z cars have a tremendous following around the globe and re considered the entry level collectible with the biggest future. Although production numbers were high, survival rates are low.
